check with MacBook :

make sure the AirPods Pro is connected to the MacBook
1. click apple logo (top left)
2. about this Mac
3. system report
4. audio
5. select "AirPods Pro"
6. see the listed manufacturer

if you see Manufacturer is Apple Inc then its ok but if you see Ericsson then its fake.

Just got it today, i check the serial no inside, and it can be found in apple warranty website. so i thinks its original. but the price seem too good to be true. how to check is it counterfeit or original besides the serial no in the box and at the device?

Not sure about wireless charging but can refer to regnessem as he have a unit in hand, maybe he can check for you.

but I guess wireless charging should work as wireless charging is so simple to pull off if they can even get the serial number to to be valid for a certain period of time on apple warranty website (but after a few months it will not be valid anymore.... )

there is no definite way to update but please refer to quote from Gear Patrol post below :

If your AirPods or AirPods Pro are not update to date, you can try to initiate the firmware update manually. You need to make sure they're paired with your iPhone or iPad and inside their charging case. Then plug them in so they are being charged, either by a Lightning cord or a wireless charging pad, and the open the lid of the AirPods Pro. (If you have AirPods Max and they are not up to date, you need to make sure they're connected to your iPhone or iPad and charging. )

Unfortunately, there isn't a button to manually update AirPods, AirPods Pro or AirPods Max; you kind of have to just follow the above steps and wait. After waiting a few minutes they should update on their own.

Please update us if you manage to update to the latest firmware ya.....

Hi,any rumors about new AirPods Pro to be release? Current one 4.5h seem bit outdated. Was comparing with Sony WF1000xm4 however I got Sony WH1000xm3 already so might go apple eco system.

Finally got my hands on this baby,

Sound wise, much better than the airpods pro

Better battery life, noice cancelling, same h1 chip features, overall a winner for me.

Only downside is airpods pro mic is slightly better

im also thinking to get a new one.
My airpods pro 1 year +, and the battery seems wanky. I talk on the phone 3~4 hours a day with it. only for calls though. last time it used to warn me before the battery dies, now it just dies. xD Battery only lasts about 1 - 2 hours on call per side.
