Hi guys.

Just collected my very own AirPods Pro, Malaysia set. Don't ask me how I got it so early even before the official launch.

My first impressions:-

Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
The feel of the ANC is really natural and it activates via a fade in/out method, which shows how much thought Apple put into building these. However, the ANC strength is quite limited. When in a very noisy place, it blocks off maybe about 50 or 60% of the current market gold standard ANC headphones, the Sony WH-1000XM3's are capable of. I've personally tested both as I own them too, and the difference is very noticeable.

Sound Quality (ANC)
Honestly, it just sounds like regular AirPods when you stuff them (regular AirPods) in deep into your ears, but due to the better seal on the AirPods Pro, bass is WAY better than the regular AirPods. But don't expect much from it other than that. If you want better sound quality, sound stage, etc, the Sony true wireless WF-1000XM3 would do a better job, but the WF-1000XM3's are too bulky, have a large case and not as well-designed for long-term wearing.

Build Quality
Perfect is what I would describe them. From the AirPods Pro case to the AirPods Pro themselves, the quality is impeccable. How it fits into my ears is also such a wonderful experience. It feels so natural sometimes I wouldn't even realise I am still wearing them!

Usability
As one of Apple's biggest strengths, the integration with Apple devices like my iPhone 11 Pro Max is just flawless. From the way you can customise the pressure sensors to how it reflects in the iPhone Control Centre, everything was indeed done well by Apple.

Battery Life
It's nearly good as the regular AirPods, and it's good enough for me.

Summary
If you want a pair of flawless daily-driver ANC earphones without feeling uncomfortable, the AirPods Pro is the ONE to get! 👍🏻

Okay so it passed SIRIM already, end of speculation

Thanks for the quick summarized feedback - I think many would be fine to trade-off the ANC's performance for the convenience of the H1 chip. Seems like the pro's outweighs the con's too, so I might consider getting the AirPods Pro too then

Would rather carry a portable earpiece with ANC rather than a bulky headphone any time, any day.

Cant wait for the AirPods Pro to be launched. Almost pulled the trigger for Powerbeats Pro. The IPX4 Sweat and Water Resistance is an added bonus on the AirPods Pro.

Now the test for the AirPods Pro is the battery lifespan.

My AirPods first gen...after 2.5 years can only hold 3mins of charge on the left one and about 30min on the right.

But we can only tell after 2-3 years from now...hahaha...

mine is not that much better as well ... feel sucks to fork out close to RM1k every 2-3 years to replace it :S

would like to know about this too.. dilemma on shud wait airpods pro or buy wf-1000xm3. Can u actually lying on side with airpods pro on? I wont be wearing it walking around or commuting. I need ANC as i am frequent traveller using boat to offshore, which a single trip may last around 6-8hours.

Also, how is the microphone quality like?

all wireless headphone have similar problem, the lithium-ion battery is too small, easily degrade compare to phone
my first gen airpod after 2.5 years (i bought from japan before Malaysia launch), from spec 5hours music time, drop til 2hours... now takes me less than 10mins to full charge both side

i am tempting to get the new pro but the battery issue for all wireless headphone makes me think further something need 1k, after 2 years can throw already lol

there are alots of review in youtube perhaps you can watch, it will gives you some idea how well the sounds quality. microphone, ANC, i watched some reviewer, the transparency mode is superb likes not wearing anything...

Yah...the battery lifespan is really a big factor. I don’t mind fork our 500-600 every 3 years...but 1.1K...hmmm....
Maybe I should just buy the normal AirPods. Lazada 11.11 sales is selling RM559 only...what a bargain...

i will wait for lazada sales for airpod pro last two months i help colleage bought airpod 2 with wireless charing case from lazada@RM739 (879 RRP), i believe not long needed few more months lazada apple flagship store will selling cheaper than RRP airpod pro

try to squeeze few more months from my airpod gen1 first haha, now still okay since ~2hours music listening, less than 10mins charge to full less charge hold, less charging time
