German Apple fan site reported on 2 Jan that Apple has stopped providing firmware 2C54 because of many complaints from customers (especially with poor ANC performance). Not sure whether this is true but if it is, I'm hoping that Apple will provide a new firmware to restore the ANC performance.

Does anyone had a chance to compare both Sony WH-1000XM3 (headphone) and AirPods Pro before?

I personally liked the sound coming from WH-1000XM3, while listening to the chorus part of Death Stranding by CHVRCHES, the background of the music like will give you the chill feeling where as i can't get the same feeling listening with my iBasso IT01 (in-ear), i'm wondering if AirPods Pro able to offer that same sound signature as the Sony's one.

Many reviews had said that Sony one has better sound.

Yeah i found most of the review are leaning to Sony's but then there is no direct comparison between the 2 i mentioned while i googling, which leads me to see if there is anyone who happen to own 2 of it and able to share the difference between the 2.

almost all the popular youtubers are comparing the two directly. previously much the things can compare are only the comfort, sound quality and ANC result. If they have not tried both, how can they give conclusion?

Pretty much all agree on if u are preferred sound quality, Sony is the one to go. If you are into comfort and Apple eco system, AirPods pro will be no brainer.

The model he compared from Sony is WF-1000XM3, i was asking for WH-1000XM3 lul.

sorry my mistake. but of course. headphone will sound much better than earphone because of the driver size. like comparing motorcycle with cars.

You have the point, guess i've an answer in my mind, but before that i will get myself on a pair of AirPods Pro before making my final decision.

My APP is on 2C54....not that I can tell any diff since I bought the APP. Hmmm....or maybe my APP came out from the box with 2C54??

So... is it possible to rollback the previous firmware...?

thats how apple screw us but cannot understand ppl still buy. Oh well, getting screwed became a norm. just like getting screwed by a hunk is better than screwed by a nerd.
