No. Those are French. Conti car means continental car which refers to German made cars, i.e. Merc, BMW, Audi, Porsche, VW. But in Malaysia many think the Conti means European which are not. European car by geography divided into Conti = German, Scandinavian = Volvo, British = Bentley, Jaguar, European = Fiat, Peugoet, etc.

Yes. Geographically or by definition continental is referring to continent of Europe except for British and its islands neighbour. But in car ‘slang’, conti-car are referring specifically to German made in its very first used. This is also explainable that the brand Continental is from Germany as well. It is firstly used to distinguish the German from any other European made, but it slowly diluted to incorporate other European brand as well. Anyway like I previously mention, the European cars are divided into Scandinavian, British, Continental, French, Italian.
