Nothing like this happened yet. But thanks for the heads up.
But this is so wrong. It's like man in the middle attack. It should be illegal for an ISP to do this kind of things.

If you are already using Google or CloudFlare DNS but still kena hijack... Could it be TM is using a transparent DNS proxy to capture all DNS (port 53) outgoing traffic? If yes, should make consumer report. https://www.dnsleaktest.com/what-is-transpa...-dns-proxy.html

For those affected... have you tried DNS over HTTPS (DOH) or DNS over TLS (DOT)?
When you use that... any difference?

QUOTE(blackbox14 @ Oct 28 2019, 09:57 AM) How do I go about doing this? https://www.linuxbabe.com/ubuntu/ubuntu-stubby-dns-over-tlsI have not been affected yet... But I have been using DOT since I visited this thread as extra safety/privacy precaution. So far seems OK. If for Ubuntu got, for sure other OS mesti ada.

QUOTE(blackbox14 @ Oct 28 2019, 01:49 PM) I don't think you need to worry as long as your pppoe stays connected. If you've restarted your network equipment in the past few days and are unaffected, then you're safe. I set my router to auto restart everyday at 5am. To those affected... what's the common factor? Geographical location? Package? Modem/router brand? This post has been edited by Buffalo Soldier: Oct 28 2019, 04:40 PM
