On 1st of oct 2019 i bought an iphone 11 pro 256gb from lazmall official apple store around midnight .suddenly at 3.30am it got cancelled due to no stock.
The next morning i confirmed with their staff on the phone and they confirmed that it has been refunded and i shall see the amount reflected back to my credit card within 5 -15 working days. The amount is rm5599

I call and email them almost every 2 to 3 days to make sure it has been refunded. and they said it is in midst processing. On the 11 working days. Suddenly i saw charges. On my credit card for amount of 2 installment (maybank new cycle billing). Then i called Maybank and told them it has been cancelled. And the Maybank staff told me,lazada did not request any cancellations for the transaction that is why i still being charged.

I been chasing lazada till this date (15 working days already) and they keep on saying will request for proof of refund and will get back to me asap. But nothing. Till this date.

I have lodged report to kpdnkk (they loop kpdnkk staff in the email they replied to me, seem like they not scared at all) and dispute my credit card transactions (within 45days only know the result)

What else can i do? And how many of u have been in this situation.
Im using Maybank installment by the way.

Stop reading at lazada.. shittiest and high risk place to buy things expensive.

For expensive things just get it from retail outlets.

this is considered as a scam.

1.File a police report, if police refuse to file the case: say that you will bring to jabatan pengaduan awam.
2.Report to maybank, file an official refund request form for scam. attach the police report.
3.Send the police report and maybank refund request form photocopy to bank negara malaysia.
4.File a report with MCMC with Police report, maybank refund request form and letter to bank negara malaysia.
5.You must send all these 4 reports copy in a single email to Lazada and request for your money back.

The longer you wait: the lesser the chance that you will get your money back.

Initially i plan to purchase iphone from lazada, but after reading some reviews about the iphone seems like being used before, i stop buying from there.

scam is intend to cheat from the begining... for what i see this is just some system error. dont lump everything a scam , when negative things happen.

lazada.. or shopee.. as long as your item is expensive buy from retail la. dont be cheapskate buying online just for the sake of few hundred off.

it is ok to buy not so expensive item online. but not expensive stuff that u cannot afford something will go wrong

If you can't afford to buy an Iphone, then don't buy the phone.

If you want to buy Iphone, just buy from Apple store / Online Apple store or else get from the Telco.

Save few hundred but in the end suffer to chase back your money.

For those who said im being cheapskate.
Like i mentioned above. The price is rm5599.(this is normal price for 256gb pro). I purchased here cause elsewhere no stock.. didn't know lazada gonna kencing me.

I purchased it online cause before this i bought 1k item on lazada no issue. Only this time got this kinda of issue

We never know when the bad omen will be on us.
I need opinion/ advice on what can be done next if any one here have any experience dealing with this situation

refund installment will get billed a second charge but its usually the remaining full amount (installment rate*11 months). after few more days all will be reversed. at least that's for my case. it left me with -10k credit limit on my cc. 5k from the installment and another 5k charged. rclxub.gif

after all reports are done, the police have a special division for domestic commercial crime unit, they will assist you as long as you do not disrespect the officers by talking rudely.

Well, obviously you got proofs of the cancellation and all, if I were you I wouldn’t be worried at all. This is a usual SOP from the maybank side anyways

u have any experience with Maybank or other bank's dispute credit card?
Cause for mine i called them but they said lazada haven't feedback anything. so not sure if can get back the money or not

Yup, two times with citibank. I made the dispute, and their staff who will chase the case, not me.

Not too sure about maybank, however I think they have the same SOP too. You just fill in the dispute form and then wait for them to contact you again if there's any problem.

i see.Noted on that. Good to know atleast now i know what to expect.

Lazada just called me awhile ago. they said need another 10 working days for them to settle this issue.
Their reason: failed transaction. weird thing is that im using same credit card as last time (they refunded me before within 5-6 days).
but Maybank told me no cancellation yet ( this morning). so i guess Lazada just giving another excuses to cover up.

Maybank told me they still in investigation ,so will wait for them now.hopefully they can help get back the money for me.

finally. after want to bring this matter through legal action. lazada finally refunded the amount. took them 4.5 weeks to solve the issue. omg. lesson learned no more buying expensive stuff on lazada. hahah.
