im never too fond of the DS-1.
but a cheaper one to really try out would be the danelectro fab distortion, RM85 only.
bentley has no more stock of it.

so what if your friend has a MT-2 and you dont want to get the same thing?
your friend also has hair, 2 arms etc...wanna amputate?

the MT-2 is a good enough pedal and you can get lots of different sounds.
and just cos your friend has it doesnt mean he will sound like you.

ah k, the DS-1 you got was modded by someone in Guitar Store.
brand new DS-1 basically is about RM150.
so yea, the extra price is you paying some local guy to mod it for you.

i dunno if its good or not, cos never tried.
and im not too bothered with modded pedals.
if you want a specific sound, im pretty sure someone out there makes a pedal for it.

the price you pay for modding a DS-1, must as well buy a 2nd hand MT-2

if i wasnt so lazy, i'll go do a clip of a MT-2 playing blues

used MT-2 RM200-250.
use ML-2 non-existent cos no one wants to buy it

the only expensive distortion pedal i want is seymour duncan's twin tube classic.

only marshall pedal i want is the guv'nor.
