Hi, are you also having problem when connecting it via mobile phone? If no issues, yeah it could be the Windows Bluetooth driver. I suggest using a device with a USB Bluetooth adapter. The one im using is Plantronics Voyager so far good for personal and work.

Been using bluetooth headsets and headphones with Windows 10 on laptop. More than 1 year already. Only issue I have is because my headphones are paired with multiple devices (another laptop, mobiles) so every time need to use the Windows 10 "Connect" shortcut in the Action Center.
What BT earplugs u using anyway?
