AP is not that bad today, at least didn't make some non-sense passing.
But except that extremely lucky goal + a shot attempt right before half time.
He is totally missing while Martial + Rashford + James + McTom + Fred all did their job.
Even Fred is obviously improving.

And talk about that goal again, if it was not reflected, surely it won't go in.
It was powerlessly directed straight toward a defender standing in front of the goal line on the right side.
What was he thinking.

at least slowpoke mata knows how to create chances, has a footballing brain and plays as a team.

Why can't fred play and pass like this every match.

The forward 3 never lack of energy and pace.
They need a creative no.10 to create a more balance combination.

I don't want to drag in Lingard.
But provided the starting 3 is within Rashford + Martial + James + Greenwood, then Mata is certainly a better choice.

Yes he is lacked of pace, but he know how to run into position and play 1-2 well when we near the box.
That is what lack by us when opponent is parking the bus.
That is also why AP is especially useless in those match, because he dunno how to run, and lack in creativity.
Even Fred has created more chance than AP in this match which we has a lot of space. And Fred is playing as a DM.

But yes, Mata cannot play every match since he is old.
So no way, sometimes we need to play AP.

Saying AP and Mata both has pro and cons is acceptable for me.
Yet if someone said AP > Mata in the no.10 role, that is absolutely ridiculous.
