When I asked how much is the Kangen Water purifier, he didn't answer but he is using it and will explain the benefit of drinking Kangen Water e.g can heal illness and highly recommended by doctor (typical sales pitch)

So, we met up and he explained Kangen water is actually ionized hydrogen alkaline water from PH 9-11. I told him drinking alkaline water is useless as our body PH balance will neutralise back to 7/7.x.

He agreed but he explained further that our body used the minerals stored in our cell and bone to balance up the acidic food we eat everyday. Because of this, old folks usually have joint problems due to mineral insufficiency.

He added drinking Kangen water can ease our body from using up the mineral inside our body to maintain good health and prevent illnesses.

Then, he started comparing to other alkaline water purifiers like Panasonic which the ionizer plates need to be replaced every 2-3 years unlike Kangen water purifier the plates can last for 20-25 years and you only need to change the water filter every 6000 litres usage.

He did some demo like pour normal water and Kangen water to see the difference. He highlighted 3 major benefits about Kangen water:

Antioxidant- Protect cells from free radicals that play a role in heart disease, cancer n etc.

Ionized - Restoring body's alkalinity can detoxify it

Microclusters - Much smaller 5-6 molecules clusters for better hydration because it's more readily absorbed by the body.

Lastly, he ended with Kangen water is the best ionized water in the market. Amway is the best in clean water category. Elken is the best in RO water. Different type of water purifier.

I just thanked him and take a bottle of Kangen water back to try it out. It tastes different though. Feel so smooth. Feel like I can bench 2 plates now

I think I will survey other water purifier as well. 13k for a water purifier is damn expensive although if you see long term 20 years usage....then it is not that expensive.

Any experts want to challenge this claims from Kangen water salesman?

It basically filters n alkalies your drinking water. Alkaline water is apparently better for your body cos everything we consume is mostly acidic.

Kangen water is "turning" your normal PH 7 water to PH 9+ (i.e: alkaline level). Since your stomach is mostly acidic (< PH 7), it is supposed to "neutralized" the acids and make you feel better.

This is like placebo. It doesnt have any real benefits.
