Well. I think it's fair to say that we are naive. Lamps want us to play our usual game. It's a good try. And we came close in the first half. But the lapse in focus cost us the game. After City regain the lead, we don't have a plan B. Still keep trying to play our original game plan.

Made a mistake which almost lead to third goal. Let through 2 goals.

Emerson : B-
Average. No memorable moment.

Zouma : B
Even though made mistake deflecting balls for Mancity equalizer, has been quite reliable at the back. Has been covering Tomori at times to avoid further goals conceded.

Tomori : B-
Made several mistake leading to mancity counter attack. He needs more experience.

Azpi : B+
Goal line clearence. Made some interception leading to our start in counterattack.

Jorgi : B-
Made several mistake leading to mancity conterattack. Pass-pass but no outcome.

Kante : A
Chelsea heart. This lad was everywhere, keeping sterling deep in his pocket. And lead us the first goal too.

Kova : B
Retaining the ball well. But no memorable moment.

Puli : B
Average passes and runs.

Tammy : B
Good at the early first half at holding ball and running forward. Not visible after mancity equalizer. Need to pump motivation, not giving up ball to early.

Willian : B
Average play. One memorable shot almost leading to goal.

Reece : B+
Very compose with the ball. Need to improve more on off the ball awareness during opposition attack. Defending well.

Mount : B+
Playing given the short time he was sub into the game. Keeping the pressure on till the very end.

Bats : C
Asking for the ball in offside position? Come on bats. Dissapoint with lack of compulsure with the ball.

OVERALL : B
Need more urgency in attack, we are 2-1 behind and we still play as if we are leading. Almost as if we are too scared to lose the ball to the opposition. Attacking wise can be improve, we need new world class center back, the one we have at the moment not good enough to put as as title contender. Hope Rudi & Chris can return. Tomori definely need more experience.

On to the next one, against John Terry, Aston Villa? Can't wait.

Michy suitable as backup striker...as long as he doesnt sulk keep wanna play main man striker then we can keep him as squad player. We buy new striker also no use if he keep demand want to play 1st 11 all the time later fight with Tammy pula.

Emerson my god worst than Alonso. At least alonso have a sweet cross and can score freekicks. Alonso even have better acceleration and pace than this Emerson...

I remember the start of the season people are wiling to give chance to this youth team and Lampard and now suddenly we started winning we should be champion?

We need a new keeper? Come on. Last season you lot were praising him

Need a new cb? We still have rudiger and christensen. And just because we lose against the big team zouma & tomori is useless?

Our team is not even working at 100% capacity.

A lot of what needs to be said has been posted here, so I'll just give my take on what I think we needed to do more of.

Basically, we mustn't be shy to change up our game plan when good teams apply an insane level of press on us. They had fernandinho as a makeshift centerback. Fernandinho for heaven's sake. It bothers me to no end that we absolutely refuse to take advantage of tammy's height and strength, he's built like a tank yet we're almost allergic to playing it long even when the situation desperately calls for it.

The amount of times we kept playing it between our CBs, only for kepa to aimlessly punt it long once we realised there's no space left, was doing my head in! The slow pace of which we moved the ball had some shades of sarri in it, and not in a good way.

No shame in losing 2 - 1 to the reigning league champions, but the manner of how we conceded was disappointing. One via a heavy deflection after a poor jorginho pass got intercepted, and the other was just poor tracking by emerson and tomori.

Still a learning process for lamps, if only willian put away his chance he had and kante took a better touch to put him through on goal (in addition to the goal he scored). That's the main difference between us and city/pool at the moment. Salah / mane would put away those chances / half chances and be cruising 3 nil at the break. We're getting there though.

Valencia next, need to bounce back from this.
