kucingfight for Wise, i recommend you manually convert MYR->EUR in Wise (forgot the fee). and then send the EUR to IBKR (FOC). you'll save the USD1.13

if you are on cash account (not margin), IBKR will auto convert to USD for a fee of 0.03% when you buy. else use Recurring to buy stocks, then IBKR will auto convert for free to USD

i don't even know IBKR will not auto-close empty accts that never had deposits even after 1 year. if i knew i probably will wait for CIMB sg to be approved instead of immediately depositing USD via wise to stop their email reminders to fund acct

needs USD2 fee for manual conversion. to get FOC, use recurring investment method to buy US stocks, then conversion fee to USD will be waived

RM30k sunway money -> SGD is 0.19%

Wise is 0.59%

if your average transfer amt is only RM1,000-2,000, then marginal difference between Wise as Sunway Money has RM8 transfer fee. so if RM30,000, that RM8 fee is nothing.

since u said RM100k, can try ask Sunway to increase daily limit from RM30k to RM50k

TOS2based on my interpretation, you need to withdraw USD from IBKR and deposit into Wise. this will utilize the bank details. just converting from RM to USD won't use those details

can withdraw USD1.
