You have to check before you transfer. TransferWise is generally more expensive.

This is due to Transferwise refused to transfer SGD to 11-digit account number or IBKR rejected Transferwise SGD transfer? Apparently Transferwise proceeded my transfer, but it is not in IBKR yet, so I am not sure if it will be rejected.

I have funded my account by sending USD via Transferwise a few times without any problem but on my latest attempt I could not proceed because "Transferwise could not accept payments to this recipient".

Yes, I registered my account with TransferWise and just transferred USD to IBKR. Made online payment of MYR from my local bank to TransferWise's local OCBC  account.

On IBKR side I just clicked on 'make a deposit', chose USD, clicked on 'bank wire', put 'Transferwise' as sending institution and specify the amount in USD. IBKR's recipient details came out in the next page and I used the details in my TransferWise page.
The only change I made is I only use the first 8digits of the account number given by IBKR as recipient account number.
The personal number Uxxxxxxx I put as reference so that IBKR can track.

Managed to transfer 5 times without any issues. IBKR received the money within hours and held it for 4 days before crediting to my IBKR account

The support team told me only Ibrk UK able to be transfered to TSG. Those with Ibrk sg, au, or US are not able to do so.
Now im back to thinkorswim. Lazy to go and open a new TSG again.

I confirm that it is not possible anymore to fund IBKR from Transferwise with EUR. "We cannot currently accept payments to this recipient" is the error message. The Transferwise's support was unable to provide the reason for this.

i have been using Trading212 for past few weeks.
basically good stuff:

a) accessible to US, canada & Europe (not fully)
b) no maintenance fee
c) fractional shares.  (from USD1)
d) no transaction fees
e) easy to deposit money (use BIGPAY debit card for almost @ spot live rate)
f) option for CFD account. i did not explore it yet

overall, great brokerage with everything laid out clearly
If ur a small amount investor who doesn't want misc fees and inconvenience, trading212 is the way to go

Basically, easy forward to open acc. doc needed : Passport, Bank account statement, utility bills. Most important of all, name and address must same and correspond to you what you have registered.

i encounter the account in different entity issue like you guys, so what i did was fresh open an IBKR account via TSG.
So now i have 2 acc,
1. Old IBKR direct account
2.  New IBKR via TSG.

The question is: possible to transfer funds from account 1 to account 2 without going back into bank?

I'm new to IBKR, and registered through TSG. I noticed the spot rates for currency exchange for USD.SGD pair charges fee is higher than USD2 per conversion. For my case, I converted to USD1000 and it charged me USD2. 75 for commissions. May I know how to calculate?
