The fraction stock purchase enable first moment your account approved? Or you have to enable it additionally?

I did log in through the IBKR sites but still can’t find this function in the trade permission. And yet to receive the response from their support for several days.

Same situation, can't find the fraction stock in trade permissions.

maybe only for old customers or those with assets above a certain value.

I tried but it is greyed out for me, and when i try to buy fractional in LSE i get an error

you are trying to withdraw forex into a different country account - likely USD to MY or SG bank

when handling some forex (particularly USD) banks will have a correspondent US bank to fill up. ask your bank.

note these transfers will have fees

I am opening an IB account. I believe it link me to IB Australia. Anyone can guide me how to fund IB account either from Malaysia Bank or Singapore Bank?

I tried to read more, but too complicated.
Appreciate there is some simple steps.

Is anyone trying to withdraw money from IB to your bank account? Is it working? Need long time?

everything you need is in post #1. ppl can help with questions, but if you can't be bothered to even put in the effort, you may not be ready for trading.

i tried to make an order today as the account just funded. per trade is usd 0.99 so ramjade it is easily 10 usd per month la. mana ada susah.

*
if you are holding / transferring usd 100k portfolio, don't worry abt the usd10 as it is waived. also depending on your trade style do check whether u are on tiered or fixed commission. For most, tiered is cheaper.

assuming you are on ibkr and not whitelabels

assuming ur CIMB SG is in SGD.
use IB to convert back to SGD at spot rate first, then do SG local giro transfer to ur CIMB SG, else u lose kaw kaw to bank's exchange rate.

If u want directly back to CIMB MY, then just withdraw USD by Wire transfer.
*
no.. CIMB SG has very good rates for SGD > MYR provided it is to your own linked CIMB MY account.

So
- use IB to convert back to SGD at spot rate first,
- do SG fund withdrawal to ur CIMB SG
- do SGD > MYR transfer using CIMB Clicks SG from your CIMB SG to your CIMB MY

Is it free trading ETF thru Ibkr? I am abit confused with their fees structure.
even after i configured to tier pricing yet they still charge me 1usd per trade.
*
no charged as normal share.. only LSE has promo where no stamp duty (from lse)

https://www.interactivebrokers.com/en/index...=1590&p=stocks2

are you on ibkr or tsg? if tsg min per trade is usd1.50 and 0.007 per share

i didnt aware of this TSG but after knowing there isnt anything special about them --> their fees structure is similar to sogotrade.com or zecco.com
*
just TSG is IBKR whitelabel to avoid activity fee at a cost of higher commissions

Guys, I have been Swing/ day trading for few weeks now. And the cash not settled w 2-3 days wait is making me lose of on good profits 😖

Do you guys recommend margin acc? The thought of ‘borrowing leverage’ is scary to me cuz Im not familiar w it..

Anyone here as a trader mind sharing your experience on margin? Like whats the pros & cons you encountered?
*
just change to a margin account. All unsettled cash is considered part of your funds and you can trade without it being in your account yet.

interest rates are low, and if you use it as per your cash account (i.e. don't borrow) you will be fine

not sure if there is a tiger thread here but i believe hardware zone and telegram has one..

some ppl are a bit skeptical because of the china / tencent background.. but IBKR is an investor and they have one of the lowest fees for SG stocks currently. Licensed by MAS so for some ppl good enough.

i personally have an account but did not fund - cause it gives me realtime US, HK and SG data that i can use to trade with ibkr tongue.gif

Oops, oddly enough the IBAN I was given was DE21502109000119754038, but should be fine right?
*
everyone gets a different bank account number - that's how IBKR tracks your funds.

the free data is likely due to SGX own promo (till nov 2020). No i have ibkr and some articles online makes me think twice abt giving them my personal data
