FX rate is higher than fintech of course, but i don't see other way to bringing back fund from IBKR to malaysia. At least with FCA I can hold USD until the rate favors me.

TT fees from Malaysia to US is RM45 per transaction. And then US will charge additional fees when receive the fund too. But all in should be less then RM100. According to Relationship manager

TT fee is only RM10, for my case..

and a further USD25 fee when it reached there.. this USD25 alone is already more than ur mentioned RM100

wonder anyone ever tried to withdraw from ibkr directly to ur m'sia bank account? say USD to MYR

tried to withdraw to my mbb account but required corresponding bank info before allow to proceed.. basically its not enough to just input ur bank details (name, account number, swift code, etc).. anyone encountered this hiccup before?

Does market buy in TSG/IBKR not buy based on the lowest selling price?

But they specifically say the money must be transferred via FAST (means must be from SG source?)

2 ways.
1. Send money via sg banks using FAST (Default way)
2. Send money first time using CIMB MY (a loophole I guessed?)

Haven't personally done it before.
Quite sure you need minimum number of units.
IB may also have a lock in period. Meaning you can't sell until certain date.

So I understand that we dont get taxed for stocks held over a year on US stocks . But what about if youre daytrading on US stocks I get taxed?

If so, how do I go about paying the tax?
And how much percent?
Do I only pay when I withdraw to my Malaysian account?

anyone tried using RHB invest to buy foreign stocks? my remisier says fee for selling is 0.42% same as local rate, but I am guessing they will charge higher exchange rate, any experience with them?

For TSG-IBKR,

One of my friend is paying USD 7 cents/share (without minimum), whereas I'm paying 1.5 USD (minimum) per trade.

Any idea why the difference?

hey guys, i have an approved IBKR pro account but yet to fund the account. But now i'm trying to switch to TSG by clicking on "Link my IBKR account" in the TSG site. However, I dont see the following option in my IBKR account (only can see option 1,2,5)? Anyone has any idea how can I link my account? TQ

i got this reply from Tradestation:
This means that you are holding a IB account with another entity, and this is not possible to link to TSG. The only entity available to link is IB UK.
If you want to you can open a new account via TSG without mentioning the IB account you are holding. You will have to go through the process again, but once open you can do a internal transfer to send the funds and assets you have in the former IB account to the new TSG/IB account.

so that is fine.... just have to close my IBKR Pro and open new account with Tradestation
Bt the way, about the trading fees........ it will cost us min $1.5 to buy then another $1.5 to sell right? i have just checked my transaction record in my eToro....my trading records:

June: 6 buy 0 sell
Jul: 3 buy 5 sell
Aug: 8 buy 7 sell
Sep: 7 buy 12 sell

if each transaction cost 1.5...... i think staying with IBKR pro doesn't really cost more to me.... am i right?

For transfer to ibkr from a sg account can the transfer be done with a usd foreign currency account based in Singapore also? Or is the transfer option only available for sgd accounts?
