after i login to IB, the URL is redirected to interactivebrokers.com.au. Does it really matter whether it's .au or .hk or .sg? Does the URL indicate where the account is hosted/located? Should i transfer to SG?
Submitted my delink request on Fri and just got email for security verification. Called them and got asked lots of questions especially since i got a joint account.

Is the statement below true? Once verified, future transfer using Fintech will be ok? Saw some previous comments saying someone transferred USD to IBKR using Wise. QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Jul 14 2021, 10:48 AM) If you fund IB through fintech, be prepared within 6 months or so to receive email from them requiring proof that transfer is from you, otherwise account shut down.

Made the call on 12 Jul for verbal verification and until now the account Master Name still shown as Tradestation International Ltd. Not sure why it's taking so long to delink

can we transfer USD from MY bank account to IBKR using fintech? So far, I've seen most are transferring MYR to SGD in SG bank account and convert SGD to USD within IBKR

so we just need to provide the transfer doc between MY bank account to the fintech company to proof source of funding coming from MY bank account? QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Aug 16 2021, 11:25 AM) Can, it will reach. Make sure to keep all documentation as you will be queried by IB for investigation into source of funds. The reason is simple - they expect that your money comes from account with your name. Which is the case for SGD moved from CIMB/MBB or whatever SG account. When you use fintech, they see that money is coming to your name from an account with someone else's name. Straight red flag.

Noted. Issue with transferring SGD is double currency conversion, from MYR to SGD and SGD to USD, which likely cause a lose of money most of the time. QUOTE(Ramjade @ Aug 16 2021, 03:52 PM) Yes. But not sure is it once only or throughout the whole duration you used it. Eg. You used fintech to move money into Ibkr for say 7 months. Do they want all 7 months documents or just the recent one only? No issue with using sg banks.

I think we might potentially lose out in terms of currency exchange twice from double conversion and conversion fee? is that correct? QUOTE(LostAndFound @ Aug 16 2021, 04:16 PM) Their SGD to USD rate is really quite good. If you're transferring 3 digit ringgit at a time maybe it will be painful the amount of fees, but above that the fees is 1.50 USD I think, so you don't actually lose out very much. How much is your time worth (and the worry) when they bother you for verification?

Any recommended USD accumulating European ETF that is equivalent to QQQ?
Based on what I've found, CNX1 seems to fit the bill but it seems to be in GBP instead of USD

Thanks for the recommendation. Can seem to find CNDX in IBKR. Only can find CNDXN QUOTE(Hoshiyuu @ Feb 5 2022, 02:10 AM) Is CNDX what you are looking for? Better double check to be sure. https://www.ishares.com/uk/individual/en/pr...q-100-ucits-etfIt's listed on LSE, domiciled in Ireland (is a UCITS), traded in USD, is an accumulating ETF (dividend auto reinvested at a fund level). ER is 0.33% so its slightly better than CNX1.
