I received a "Disclosure Notice" from IBKR.

QUOTE
Disclosures Notice
Dear Client,

Interactive Brokers LLC, your clearing and executing broker, is required by its regulators to periodically provide you with a Customer Relationship Summary Disclosure (Form CRS), which is intended to inform you about:
The services the firm offers.

The fees, costs, conflicts of interest, and required standard of conduct associated with those services.

Disclosures by the firm and its financial professionals.

How to obtain additional information about the firm.

It is important to note that our Form CRS only describes the services provided by Interactive Brokers LLC. It does not describe any services, fees, conflicts, or standards of conduct provided by any intermediary that you engage, such as an investment advisor or introducing broker.

Please use the link below to access and review the Interactive Brokers Form CRS:

Interactive Brokers' Form CRS Customer Relationship Summary (Link: Check your own IBKR account)

Sincerely,

Interactive Brokers LLC

The link leads to a Customer relationship summary document and upon some further exploration, I came across this:

https://www.investor.gov/home/welcome-investor-gov-crs

If you type Interactive Broker, can check a list of past disciplinary actions taken against this broker. There is even a complete list of conflict-of-interest events: https://files.brokercheck.finra.org/firm/firm_36418.pdf (for IBKR)

Vigilant investors will find this document interesting. Good that they have this sort of service, developed nations indeed have better regulatory oversights.

I would like to subscribe to the OCBC scrip dividend scheme and top up my odd lots to become round lots.

Any idea how to do that in IBKR? Wait for election notice? Or we send them an email first?

Just to confirm with sifus on steps to handle the voluntary action for the upcoming OCBC scrip dividend subscription.

1. Login to IBKR online and click the menu button and

2. Then click support.

3. Click "corporate action manager".

4. Then follow the instruction for voluntary CA tool here: https://ibkr.info/node/1070

Is that all to it? Did I miss out anything?

Also, if I would like to top-up my odd lots to become round lots, I can only buy directly from market right? I don't see any option to top-up odd lots in the voluntary CA instruction page link above.

Thanks for the help.

Yeah I think you need to buy directly from market. Most dividend reinvestment plans don't give you the option to 'top up'.
Btw, if you have little units, it might be worthwhile not to opt for reinvestment and take cash dividend to buy from the open market instead.

top-up = buy...so just diy lor

to get ibkr to buy for you = broker-assisted trade, fees from $100 up... in this case they don't have trade desk for sg so no go I think even if you have money to burn...lol

Thanks everyone.

Can anyone figure out what's wrong with my IBKR setting?

I want to check my OCBC scrip dividend corporate action notification via the CA manager, but no matter how many times I click on the CA manager button there is no response from my browser.

Thanks.

Didn't know that. No promotion of such service from the international office. (Graduated from Sunway College 2 years ago).

Is this a new service? When did it started?

most of the marketing are posters and banners around the BRT and walkway pillars surrounding the colleges, uni and student condo... lol

that's how I found out about sunway money... haha
*
Really? I walked around that area very often (hostel to college and back) and I didn't see any such posters. confused.gif I must be blind!

Or maybe I don't bother much about investment back then. I only ventured into finance not long ago. Never mind.

This year's timing couldn't be any better. Milestone achieved today: 10% (exactly) return for my SG stocks and REITs portfolio, invested back in April/May.

No regrets meeting you guys here. It's through this thread that I opened a TSG account back then. Since then learnt tonnes of stuff on stocks fundamentals, analyzing company's financial data etc. Quite a thrill.

In iBot search for "Corporate Action Manager" and click the link.
I can enter my Corporate Action. There's other companies, but also don't see any msgs regarding OCBC scrips.
Congrats on hitting the milestone. And those reasons alone are pretty good enough reasons for switching.
*
Err... Action is not allowed.

perhaps contact IBKR's CS is your best shot.

Manage to access, but through an unusual route. I have to go to IBKR home page, click on support then select "for individuals", scroll down and click on CA manager, then login and access from there.

But this is just a short-term solution, I have emailed Javier of TSG for help. As for IBKR, I will send them an email as well.

IBKR replied me but I can't read the message. I logged into IBKR and can't even receive any notification from the message center.

If I click on the Message Center link provided in the email, upon login, I was shown the following instead:

Im the only one having the same case as you. You need to email TSG support team(raise ticket in TSG website), IBKR dont deal with your ticket(also you cant open the message center).

You --> TSG --->IBKR
You <-- TSG <-- IBKR

Its a quite fked up but nth you can do about it. =)
*
Thanks a lot. Let me try. Will update you if got any response from them.

sometimes i really wonder if worth saving the $10 / mth for all the hassle.
for me, peace of mind and single of point contact worth much more than that.
*
I am a small-cap investor, so no choice, 10 dollars/month easily eats into my profit. I only have a few "k"s inside my brokerage account. Around 0.3% of my account will be lost each month if 10 dollars were to be deducted like that, and one year down, that would have amount to 3.7% of my account.

Hopefully can have more source of money coming in soon.

Some more good news, I received the OCBC scrip dividend election form in IBKR today by accessing the CA manager through the "unusual method" mentioned earlier. smile.gif

It's under the "Choice Action" tab.

I have a CIMB sg FAST account and am going to do a TT to IBKR, but then I noticed there is a $30 cable cost and $10 commision. Is this normal?
*
Use FAST, don't TT. FAST to their Citibank NA SG account, should be free of charge.

Just to be sure, I should use the FAST under the Local Transfer instead of Global Transfer -> TT ?
*
Definitely FAST (local transfer), Citibank NA is registered in Singapore. You are not transferring to an entity outside of Singapore, so why use global transfer?
