Want to asked, why ppl believe christianity when there are million of other religion in the world? In fact, where one is born seems to be the most likely indicator of what religion one is.

What makes u think christianity the "special one" that is definitely correct?

How do u reconciled the fact that it is statistically likely christianity was made up by human?

Hard to explain but you will just know it's the one.

Why do u'all keep calling yeshua.  jesus. That his translated name from Hebrew to Greek then to english. Isn't it more respectful if we just call him yeshua?. His real given name not some later translated version.

Yet He responds to the name Jesus Christ in our prayers.

If He responds, why is this an issue at all?

You have access to God by the blood of Jesus Christ

Hebrews 10:19-22 (NIV)

19 Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, 20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, 21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God, 22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.

The natural thought of the world make some of us think we can access to God because of our holy deeds. Or that because we have done things right. That is the old covenant.

Under the new covenant, The Bible says we can come to God because of the blood of Christ. We need to remember, it is Christ Jesus who opened the way to God through his body (death and resurrection), though his work on the cross.

Jesus Christ is also our great high priest representing us before God. He is our advocate, our redemption, our Savior, our Salvation.

Whatever situation that you are in, bad or good, this devotion is to encourage you to come to God though the blood of the Lamb!

God Bless.

It's interesting that your account name is Root of Jesse, that's in the Bible in Isaiah 11

It's reference to Jesus Christ, our God.

Isaiah 11

The Branch From Jesse
1 A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse;
from his roots a Branch will bear fruit.

2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—
the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and of might,
the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—

3 and he will delight in the fear of the Lord.
He will not judge by what he sees with his eyes,
or decide by what he hears with his ears;

4 but with righteousness he will judge the needy,
with justice he will give decisions for the poor of the earth.
He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth;
with the breath of his lips he will slay the wicked.

5 Righteousness will be his belt
and faithfulness the sash around his waist.

Jesus Christ is one physical evidence, his appointed apostles was willing to die for they have seen or touch. I think it would be a bit looney for anyone to die for someone who just merely "claims" to be God without proving himself as God to which He did. For the record all of them were martyred for refusing to deny what they believe except Apostle John, he died a normal death.

For me personally I've too, just too many many accounts with God to discredit as mere coincidence. And I've accepted the fact that nobody can see God with the physical eye because God is spirit.

Even the Bible (written by the Apostle, inspired by God's Spirit) tells us God cannot be seen. This was uttered by Christ Himself concerning "seeing" God.

John 1:18 (NIV) - No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is himself God and is in closest relationship with the Father, has made him known.

Jesus Christ himself is God. He is the best evidence there is for a physical view point.

Colossians 1:15 (NIV) - The Son is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

Yet there is another "god", the god of this world who is Anti-God blinding people from seeing God

2 Corinthians 4:4 (NIV) - The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

This is a never ending cycle. That is why we Christians evangelize.

Reflection

Ezekiel 38:4 (NIV) - I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army--your horses, your horsemen fully armed, and a great horde with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords.

Just want to share my thought of what is happening now.

I believe our Lord God Almighty allowed this pandemic to happen because a lot of us take the warning of Christ second coming too lightly.

We live as if it's not going to happen in our lifetime. This is the problem.

This Pandemic has caused many of to think, will this ever end? Because many of us are very uncomfortable living this new norm.

In my opinion it is not a norm. This is not normal.

This happened so that we become careful in our life. Because under this pandamic, many people lost their earnings. This has caused us to think what are we to do to ensure our future.

Is it going to be bleak future or is the world coming to an end?

You look at the signs.... Wars, World Economic problem, Nothing is moving much.

WHAT IF, it's the beginning of what the book of revelation says?

Look out for the signs of end time, especially Israel. The moment you see the sign of the birth of war of gog and magog against Israel, The invader of Israel as prophesize in Ezekiel 38 and 39, There have been speculation that Ezekiel 38:4 could be referring to Russia involved in the war against Israel. Once you see this, That is how you know the end of time has started.

You should not start too late. Come back to God before anything happens.

Repent and turn back to the True and Living God of the Bible. Believe Jesus Christ is the only way to God the Father.

Believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

Accept Christ work on the cross for your Salvation. Allow the Holy Spirit of God to work in your life.

Don't be stubborn, let go of your worldly ways before it's too late.

God Bless.

Repentance that only works through Faith

Romans 1:17 (NIV) - For in the gospel the righteousness of God is revealed--a righteousness that is by faith from first to last, just as it is written: "The righteous will live by faith."

The foundation of Salvation and Righteousness is that, it is a gift of God, something nobody can earned no matter how good the person is. Yes you've heard that right. Even righteousness is a gift. A gift is no longer a gift if we need to pay for it or earned it.

A gift is given by grace. Your birthday celebration is given to you by grace not because you earned it, something for you to think about.

Romans 4:5 tells us;

However, to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.

Galatians 2:16 tells us;
know that a man is not justified by works of the law, but by faith in Jesus Christ. So we, too, have believed in Christ Jesus, that we may be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

With that being said, when it comes to the things of God, Faith is the Root. Even for repentance.

2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us that "the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!"

It takes faith to believe that. I just want to say this. 2 Corinthians 5:17 is the word of God, God who does not lie and cannot lie, tells us that when we accept Christ, we are a new creation. Not trying to be or attempting with our performances.

If God says it, then we should believe regardless of how we feel. IF God say we are a new creation, then that is what we are, even though we are not perfect in our acts and thoughts.
Remember when you first accepted Christ, how joyful you were? You were given Salvation then and there even in your imperfect state.

What difference is there when we are at that stage and even now when we have travelled quite a distance? There is no difference. It took Faith back then, it takes faith even right here, right NOW.

The devil has deceived many of us by telling us, we need to match up in our actions before we qualify to be called righteous or a new creation. The devil causes the greatest confusion by using the book of James, where it says Faith without work is dead. I want to explain the book of James on this matter has nothing to do with Salvation. What has it got to do with then?

It is common sense when it comes to horizontal relationship with fellow humans, it is not enough to just wish by faith for the person to be well, you need to act upon it with your actions. Provide cloths, food, money, whatever, but you need to act with your actions. Do I need to explain more? If I need to, then there is something very wrong with your empathy towards others.

But when it comes to vertical relationship upwards with God, no matter how much action you do, you cannot obtain Salvation. We always tell people, no matter how much good you do, whether you have done much charity, whether you kept control of your temper, you've refrained from lying, etc you can never wash away your sins and obtain heaven. That is what we preach isn't it?

But why is it after we are saved, we contradict everything that God has ordained by saying Faith alone is not enough to be saved even though

Ephesians 2:8 - 9 says

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith--and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God--not by works, so that no one can boast.

I submit to you it is because we do not understand what James 2 was pointing to.

Romans 3:21 Tells us,
But now, apart from the law, the righteousness of God has been revealed, as attested by the Law and the Prophets.

I want to say that in this verse....apart from the law means This Righteousness is given to you not because you have obeyed God's Law. It is given to you because you have accepted and believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God as your Salvation.

One last verse to nail this home.

Romans 12:2 tells us.....Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is--his good, pleasing and perfect will.

This renewing of our mind has everything to do with believing in what God says. The moment you believe, the change will start to happen. The repentance will happen by the power of God's Holy Spirit.

Dear Friends of God. This is the word of our Lord.

God Bless.

You, a mere man, claim to be God

John 10:31-32 (NIV) - Again his Jewish opponents picked up stones to stone him, but Jesus said to them, “I have shown you many good works from the Father. For which of these do you stone me?” “We are not stoning you for any good work,” they replied, “but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.

Even the Jews who opposed Christ could understood, the things that Jesus said and the works that he did, point to the fact that He is God.

If anyone asked where did Jesus claim He is God, this scripture passage aptly applies.

Why Faith is so important.

Mark 6:5 (NIV) - He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.

Here is food for thought. Bible says without faith it is impossible to please God. I'm sure by this, you will begin to understand Mark 6 verse 5.

It's interesting to note scripture did not record for this verse...God was not willing but in all translation God could not. Even in young's translation version.

Quite sure there will be thoughts like this; Am I saying God is powerless to do it?

No. That is not what I'm saying. There is a lesson to be learn in this. I'm very sure our Lord has all the power to do whatever miracles. In here God refrain himself.

Why?

Some of us we have been taught. Do good, you get good, do bad, you get bad. We have teachings, obey God and be blessed, disobey and be cursed, all hinges upon our doing, performances. Nothing wrong with that, but that was under the old covenant.

Many of us don't understand what is given under the new covenant.

New Covenant is on Faith. God cuts a blood covenant with you as his child, everything hinges on Faith.

Note what is Jesus constant indictment, "oh you of little faith". And yet Jesus was very very pleased when faith is displayed.

There is much to be shared on this but I don't want to burden you with too many words.

I leave this devotion for you to digest,

God Bless

LYRICS:
If you've been abandoned by the ones you trust the most
And you’ve built a wall around your heart to make sure no one else gets close
I could fill the air with empty words and hope that they would work
But nothing I could say would change the way you hurt
So, I won’t say another word

I’ll show you the cross
With Jesus lifted high
I’ll show you the grave
Where death was left behind
I’ll show you a Savior
Who paid the highest cost
Show me all your scars
And I’ll show you the cross

If you’re on the outside, angry and lookin’ in
You don’t believe that grace could reach you in the places you have been
If all you know of truth and love are lies and hypocrites
Then nothing I could say would change the way it is
The only thing that I can do is this

I’ll show you the cross
With Jesus lifted high
I’ll show you the grave
Where death was left behind
I’ll show you a Savior
Who paid the highest cost
Show me all your scars
And I’ll show you the cross

Come as you are
Come as you are
Broken and bleeding
Come as you are
Come as you are
Find what you’re needing
Come as you are
Come as you are
If you don’t believe it

I'll show you my sins
Dead and washed away
I'll show you the grace
That led my heart to change
I'll show you a Savior who loved when I was lost
Show me all your scars

And I’ll show you the cross
With Jesus lifted high
I’ll show you the grave
Where death was left behind
I’ll show you a Savior
Who paid the highest cost
Show me all your scars
And I’ll show you the cross
Show me all your scars
And I’ll show you the cross
Show me all your scars
And I’ll show you the cross

When my hope is lost
And my strength is gone
I run to you, and you alone
When I can't get up and I can't go on
I run to you, and you alone
'Cause you're my light in the dark
And I sing with all of my heart

Hallelujah
My almighty God divine
Hallelujah
I am yours and you are mine
This is all I know I will say
Hallelujah
Hallelujah

You're my everything
When I'm plagued with pain
And filled with fear
I run to you, and you alone
When my days are few
And death is near
I run to you, and you alone
'Cause you're my light in the dark
And I sing with all of my heart

Hallelujah
My almighty God divine
Hallelujah
I am yours and you are mine
This is all I know I will say

Hallelujah
Hallelujah

When trouble comes and goes
And when the cold wind blows
I lift my hands up, I lift my hands up…

Isaiah 43:2 (NIV)

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you;
and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you.
When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
Just want share a profound testimony.

The Devil always want you to think, God will abandon you when you've done wrong. But I'm reminded by Abba Father, He is faithful even when you are not. The Bible says it is the "Goodness of God" that leads you to repentance (Romans 2:4). Not the wrath of God contrary to what people believes.

I encourage those who are reading this, you need the word of God to feed you, for without you are weak and the waves will crash over you.

but with God's word in you and you understand it and believe it and accept, The Lord will be with you when you go through the waters, the rivers and the fire.

God Bless

Matthew 7 (NIV)

The Wise and Foolish Builders

24 “Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock. 26 But everyone who hears these words of mine and does not put them into practice is like a foolish man who built his house on sand. 27 The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house, and it fell with a great crash.”

Abba in Heaven gave me this verse to help those who wants to be Rock Solid in their life with God. You'll notice that I constantly refer to the phrase Abba in Heaven or Heavenly Father more than God because Abba denotes family-ship, closeness rather than just God though He is.

You may have troubles coming or have already have come. Take heed that this may help you.

The word of God alone is food, life and power for the believer. What our Lord is saying in these verse, don't just hear the word but act on it.
Act on it here, is not referring to just refraining from sinning, it is far more than that. You have no strength neither power on your own against sin anyway.

The act upon here refers to constant and persistent believing. How do I know this? Look at the context of these verse. The rain, the streams, the winds all represent and refer to troubles in life. What do you do in the midst of all these problems? You refrain from sinning? No. Contextually it doesn't make any sense to link it to just refrain from sinning.

You keep on believing despite of the problems. Why? The problems caused by the evil one are designed to to make you doubt on God. It is always with that number one intention. It is designed to make you think, there is no God in this world. When life hits you hard and is painful, you will start to think where is God?

When you keep believing, you will act right, you don't need to worry about it. I always teach this, when you believe, the Holy will act according to your faith in his word. He will change you from the inside out. It is not your this conjured-up performances. It doesn't last anyway. Why? Because it is your own production not God's.

Anyway when you act in faith, the Lord will deliver you from your predicaments.

Amen? God Bless.

QUOTE(Charmz83 @ Jul 5 2021, 09:10 PM)
I'm a Buddhist and a believer in Christianity but not a convert yet. I want to share about my encounter with Jesus and how heaven/new Jerusalem looks like. But do note that i only saw one part of it.

Many years ago, i had a dream of a very clean, bright, modern, city filled with tall glass buildings, very clean wide road (like in western countries), blue bright sky (no clouds or visible sun), no bicycle/motorcycle/car, but filled with people crossing the road. My friend (christian) was walking towards the city and i tried to follow but couldn't move ahead. Then i turn around and there is a man standing looking at me. He has a shoulder length hair, wearing a white robe and carrying a brown rag sling bag. Then i looked closer he has deep eyes, very high nose and half of his face covered by beard (arab man features). In my mind, I was thinking who is this Arab guy? Because i wasn't a believer at that time so didn't realize who he was. I looked at him and looked back at the city, gesturing that i couldn't cross over. He just answered very firmly and slowly, it's not too late to repent. I was confused and didn't know what he meant. Then he repeated it again and i woke up.

After that, I asked my friend what does the word repent mean and after hearing the explanation and thinking back of the man's face, clothing and bag, then i realized he is actually Jesus. I got a shock of my life. I believe it's not a dream because i didn't know the word repent. I greatly appreciate him for coming to me and showing me heaven / the new Jerusalem, especially since i'm not even a christian.. So i hope to share here so people will also know how it looks like.

Hi Charmz83, what you have here is quite precious.

Not everyone has vision or dreams, I believe in what you've seen.

Personally I only have a vision once and I've not really shared with anybody.

Anyway.....We believe there is no other Salvation other than Jesus Christ.

He is the only way to Heaven. This world will come to an end and then there will be judgement. Yes there will be a new Heaven/Jerusalem.

It's still not too late. If you're up for it, you can pray the sinner's prayer and receive Jesus Christ as your God and Savior.

You can pm me.
