did not expect it to have notification light, somehow it has. although a bit difficult to see at times since it is at the top of the screen, hidden below the receiver.

This phone lose out interest due to small battery capacity. Now a day battery major concern for phone buyer.
True that. But battery life is also dependent on phone’s specs and how it is configured to optimise usage. Perhaps someone with real life experience on this phone can shed some light.
Not many people use this phone huh. I'm shortlisting this phone to buy, on paper seems okay with 3750mah battery, flagship cpu, not so humongous screen size, cuthole front cam which i prefer than notch or motorized popup but review seem way, way scarse than desire. I'm mainly interested to know about battery life because my current phone got horrible battery life so wanna get a phone with atleast useable 7-8 hours sot. The trump v huawei bullshit are out of my concern.

Bite the bullet and ordered purple set from shopee for 1399, cheapest so far. 2 weeks ago it appeared on shopee shocking sale for 1365 i think, but that time I'm still torned between this, mi 9 lite and oneplus 7. Hopefully a good buy, ticking all my box except the exclusion of headphone jack.

Battery life are phenomenal on this phone. Didn't expect to get 8 hours of sot yesterday. And thats with heavy usage; netflix, heavy gaming, youtube, all via mobiledata not wifi. I probably can't even kill this phone battery in a day even if i try. Huawei really knows howto optimize their chipset and rom.

Emui 10 update for us should be imminent, beta test for it ended today. I can't wait for it, especially for the systemwide dark mode. Stupid huawei only made dark mode on emui 9 available on oled devices and third party dark themes I've tried usually got bugs here and there.
Why every time I enable the usb debugging button. Ì will automatically disable?
I wanted to transfer whatsapp database from IOS to this phone. Tried using this software called dr.fone, and usb debugging function is 1 of the steps required. It didn't automatically disable when I tried though. Not sure if it makes a difference but I tried it without a sim card inserted.

This could also happen when you select charger only option. You need to make sure you are selecting file transfer option when inserting your usb cable.

Its been nearly 2 months of usage. Love it compare to mate 10, coz of the slimmer profile. The only thing i really missed is the monochrome sensor. Battery last whole day, sumtimes more. Main usage was camera, heavy content downloading and youtube

Might be public beta without any need to register, i checked via hicare and its there. The one from the beta app should be closed beta since its limited to few only and need to register.
So far felt stable and smoother than emui 9.1. Even fixed an issue I've been having with multitask gesture on 9.1. Plus the systemwide dark theme, can't say no to that. Even my Gmail app are dark now.

my fren uses Digi and somehow she said very bad reception and slow pairing with Nova 5t...anyone here experience this problem?
yes, i use digi also, reception is soso and the 4G connection is very unstable, very easy to "jump" to H+ connection, when playing online game like moba games, i need to choose a specific location to play, even in my room, somewhere 100++ping somewhere 300++ ping... slow pairing means pairing what?

Maybe early firmware don't have zoom yet. Quite common for early batch unit for don't have complete functional camera software Just received mai phone. So it is zoomable

Nova 5T using Kirin 980, with 8GB RAM somemore... of course it wont lag against those lousy Snapdragon 7xx with 2x big core. Basically all recent Huawei/Honor phone (Nova 5T, View20, Honor 20) right now is using Kirin 980 and totally cannibalise other midrange phone with the exception of Mi 9T Pro.

Huawei has no choice. They had to do this after US ban. Before this, price is much higher than now. Hence you can see Huawei still report higher sales despite the ban.

i want to get mi 9t pro last time but the phone uses oled panel which isnt matured tech yet. burn ins, wont last long and the new one was multi touch jitter which really bugging while u play games

Guys we've just joined the ranks of proper flagship that's supported by the Energy Ring app. Not sure about battery hit though since I've just installed it few hours ago but its awesome, works wonderfully. As usual for constantly active apps, gotta be whitelisted on App Launch for it to work.

Ordered the 5T from shopee this morning, I am expecting will reach me by this Friday. A bit late into the party when almost of the earlier users using it for almost a year already. At first I am thinking to go fo 7i but after some consideration I am switched to 5T. Paid rm1269.00 foc band 4 and huawei laptop bag.

It is true that the battery capacity really a turning down, luckily I am not a gaming person. Have to rely on powebank as a backup. Another thing is, recording video function will generating excessive heat if I recorded video that longer than 5-7 mins until an error message pop up saying camera function to be close. I am investigating if that is only occur on 1080 full screen or others as well.

Gave up waiting Maxis. Bought 1 in LZD for Rm1199 1+1yr warranty. After 1 week usage. Not bad. Battery not as bad as it seems although look small in paper. Satisfied overall.
Heads up, sounds and vibrations > default volume control button > either media or ringtone always showed ringtone for me even when i chosed media after 10.1 update. I can choose between media or ringtone there but when clicking the vol button it always ringtone volume that change regardless of the selection, ie the selection doesn't work now after the update. Annoying af bug here.

It doesn't for me, not outside that menu. Like i wrote before, I can still choose between media or ringtone there in the menu and while still in that menu, clicking vol button does work properly based on the choice ie if i chosed media then the media bar there will move, if i chosed ringtone then the ringtone bar there will move. Again, this is while still in that menu screen.
But outside that menu screen like when on homescreen even if i chosed media earlier in that selection screen, clicking vol button always brings up the popup on right of the screen for ringtone vol bar, its doesn't respect my choice to bring up the media vol bar instead.

i thought Google Play can install later on for huawei product now? now got people provide service to install it right? A52 seem a bit downgrade compare nova 5T right in term of processing power and graphic too?

yes a bit downgrade, especially on the size, weight and smooth operating thanks to kirin 980. Even EMUI is feel much better than One UI. But I am not into gaming tbh. Display side on screen, camera A52 output more pleasingly to the eyes IMO. yes you're right about googlifed into newer Huawei, but I am not ready into that as I believe when we invested something that is not cheap, I am expecting my android is ready out of the box.

It won't be the same as legit preinstalled from factory. Will have some problems later, especially for games that uses google cloudsync. Its probably fine if you don't do games but I'll avoid it nevertheless.

ok noted on that.. because I almost buy the new huawei phone to upgrade from this Nova 5T.. alhamdulillah i check first..
maybe you can consider the coming Honor 50 that having the same feel just like Huawei but come with Google into it.

I've bought and used my nova 5t since october 2019 and its 2 years warranty just expired last month. Coincidentally my youngest bro's phone broke and he's going to his dorm next week. Decided to pass on my nova 5t to him and upgrade to something better. Ended buying xiaomi mi11t. Nova 5t isn't a bad phone afterall if i can use it 2 years with some heavy gaming here and there. Only the speaker abit too soft and battery capacity abit small compared to nowadays 5000mah. Would probably upgrade to newer huawei if not for the lack of gms.

Theres a rumor that the us might ban honor brand too. I'm not going to take the chance. Nova 5t got a super high possibility to get android 11 update before huawei's ban, but got stucked on android 10 after the ban because can't renew gms license for newer android version.
