Maut ditembak rempuh pegawai polis

POLIS menembak mati seorang lelaki dipercayai anggota sindiket penyeludupan migran di Jalan Bandar 10 Puchong, Puchong, malam ini.

Dalam kejadian 7.30 malam itu, suspek yang juga warga tempatan sedang memandu kenderaan Perodua Alza bersama lapan pendatang asing tanpa izin (PATI) warga Myanmar sebelum ditahan sepasukan polis di lokasi kejadian.

Ketua Polis Negara, Tan Sri Abdul Hamid Bador berkata, suspek yang memandu bertindak merempuh pegawai polis yang cuba menahannya.

“Polis melepaskan dua das tembakan ke arah kenderaan terbabit menyebabkan pemandu mati serta seorang penumpang cedera.

“Susulan itu, polis berjaya menahan lapan warga asing termasuk yang cedera,” katanya ketika dihubungi.

Beliau berkata, siasatan berhubung kejadian masih dijalankan.

Difahamkan semakan ke atas nombor kenderaan itu didapati didaftarkan atas nama seorang wanita di Gombak, namun tiada sebarang rekod jenayah.
