i think only new phones got issue. mine, i did it in Feb 2020. no issue.

i can see some websites teaching how to load GMS in huawei mate pro 30. those posts was past one week.

i always leave it overnight.

anyway, at the end, i did huawei cloud backup. done.

yeah i paid. this one i havenot tried, but i backup everything of the phone (based on the data size it backup to huawei cloud, so i assume everything)

not sure.. i think i bougth 200GB. about RM100+ for one year.

gmail is owrking on mine too. maybe you shall check with IT person.
no reason that gmail not working if others are fine.

easiest way: get hand phone dealer to install with you (maybe with a fee RM50). done, then no concern.

mine is ok, no problem. but i installed it by myself.

but i think let dealer do it safer... if got problem, let them fix it for you. save the headache or searching for solution for youtube.

last time, before i bought huawei, the dealer showed me his mate30pro with playstore, apps... offering me to install with a fee of RM50. but i decided to install it myself.

i understand there were newer method to do it... mine done in FEb 2020, which i understand it's obselete due to Google Play protection notification issue.

i was planning to buy via Maxis phone package. so just asked dealer to do it for me without buying from them.

i did it this morning. all good.

i used twin app for whatsapp ( i use dual sim cards on my mate 30 pro).
after installing twin app, it prompted google not certified. it was ok, i just disable the notificaiton. all went well.

now, i use H-suite to backup. H-suite backup said twin app cannot be backup? .. then how do i back up my two whatsapp on my mate30pro?

it said it's not google certified. don't even allow me to select which google account to backup. (whatsapp twin app)

the original whatsapp app: all good. can backup to my google account.

tried. it showed me "This device isn't play protect certified"... in my twin whatsapp.
but original whatsapp ok...

so, i also confused.

no wor.. i just activted my twin app for whatsapp. the errors popping up, i just disable the notification. then working until now.

only twin app won't be backup. this is my problem.

used it for 10 months, zero complaints. (did install GMS though but hardly use. mainly use petal search to download app)

try Gspace app first... i tried it and no need to install GMS (too technical).
inside Gspace got google pay store.

i'm ok. no issue.
