You think you can able to sued and exit industry?
Well, that will only happen after 100 years.. (Maybe.. whistling.gif )

You think your wholesale subscribers such as Maxis and Celcom or even Viewqwest will allow you to unfairly manipulate and sabotage their traffic? They have experts to monitor the line too.

It's a good opportunity for them to sue TM out of business if they catch you doing unfair business practices to your own advantage. TM might also lose the right to do wholesale HSBB after this.

That is basically how any plans with contract works. If terminate early, there is a penalty. If you go to any other country, its the same thing. You should have asked the person at the counter regarding all this before proceeding.

Yeah, Maxis seems to be only one which doesn't have the Balance Payment penalty. Just RM500 for termination if you don't take their mesh wifi thingy.

How much does the crap useless VR1200V modem by TP-Link bulk costs as I asked?

Which country? In singapore there are no contract plans which you pay higher monthly fees but without ties.

I don't use ISP provided routers as I know its pretty much useless. Prolly not worth much plus its made worst by TM's customisation of the firmware.

Try look at Western countries, pretty much the same termination policy with Malaysia fixed line broadband.

Comparing Malaysia and Singapore is not fair as the cost to roll out HSBB in Singapore is a lot lower compared to Malaysia. You have to remember, TM has monopoly over the fixed line broadband market.

Why always gauge yourself against the West? Not just Singapore, why not compare with Thailand or advanced far east nations such as Japan, Taiwan or South Korea?

You know Google Fibre expansion is already halted and slowed down. Verizon is utter failure.

Aiyo, what's the big problem? Don't want to pay more than RM500 for termination, just got for Maxis or TIME. Both also better than TM in some people's opinion.

Also Celcom smile.gif

Celcom has the most acceptable early termination and upgrade/downgrade policy.

Downgrade plan only pay RM50 penalty and contract continues from the 1st day you sign up.
Upgrade free.
Early termination only charge RM500.

QUOTE
Part 5: Cancellation, Upgrade/Downgrade and Termination

Can I upgrade my speed?
You may request a speed upgrade at no charge, at any time with no renewal on the minimum subscription period.

Can I downgrade my speed?
You may request a speed downgrade at any time subject to a downgrading fee of RM50 with no renewal on the minimum subscription period.

What if I terminate the service within the contract period?
You will be charged a termination fee of RM500 (non-prorated), which will be reflected in your final bill.

Viewqwest early termination policy is also same as TM. Pay remaining months if you cancel early.

Only Celcom, Maxis and Time Fibre have fair early termination policies. Just pay RM500 and you're let off debt free.

That's what you get when TM is in play.
Nothing compared to their 1Gbps plans

Ya if routing quite good then price higher is reasonable.
Try this link https://codehz.github.io/pingms/
And this link http://cloudping.today/
And if possible please test this link also thanks. https://www.nfoservers.com/networklocations.php
For some worldwide server latency test.
