Hi all any Audi owners,
I want to know what are common issues with this car that I should get taken care of now rather than later.

CVT gearbox maintenance. Many known issues with this gearbox: Slow to engage, jerky and plates wear. There are more than 15 separate service bulletins for this gearbox

Engine. This engine drinks engine oil. If you top it up every 2000km, it should run fine. Last but not least, carbon build up.

im not owner but what i heard is audi and volkswagen engine drinks engine oil.

and engine that consume engine oil is generally bad engine, you will have worse petrol mileage, less reliable.... and if you forgot to top up the engine oil.... boom goes the engine

i dont know why manufacturer says engine that consumes engine oil is normal. even my colleague honda odyssey with 400k km never consume even 1 drop of engine oil

there will be a warning light for engine oil refill but top up every 2000km seems abnormally low, it should be every 10,000+ km in which case you'll be doing an oil change / regular maintenance anyway.

The mechatronic will usually fail around 100k+ km mileage, some may come sooner but eventually it WILL fail and it costs around 8k - 10k to replace.

i am owning pre facelift EA888.2 engine with stronic and quattro for two years. it consumes like 3 liters per 10k km which i think is ok because of the driving experience. the higher maintenance cost still worth it coz it just can put a smile on my face while driving it.

reliability shouldn't be an issue for 2012 or newer Audi which has been facelifted (EA888.3 engine).

engine oil consumption has been fixed for EA888.3 engine
multitronic does not have mechatronic components, S tronic does.

i would say a proper maintain Audi A4 B8.5 is good but is FWD not Quattro.

if you are looking for daily enjoyable drive, go for it. if you just looking for daily driveable car, no go due to ownership cost.
