but in the news they never mention how it works.. do we need to get a new account to get the e sim work on AW or we can use our current account(current phone number) and share the e sim among iphone and AW..

Base on SG Singtel and Starhub information, they are using NumberShare which the eSim for AW must be same with your current phone number, i think Malaysia should be using the same method
*
how about the charger of these telco?any extra charge to use this service?

Ya, extra charges every month for the apple watch data plan subscription. around S$6 for the SG telco.
*
thanks for the info thumbup.gif

QUOTE(reddevil87 @ Oct 11 2019, 03:49 PM)
In Singapore it is add-on charges around $6 per month, hopefully in Malaysia the price is acceptable, otherwise the cost of owing cellular AW will become higher
*
agree...AW cellular version in MY already is already costly device.. *finger cross

For me, my phone be with me 24/7. still thinking want GPS or Cellular version.
*
not a hard decision..if you just wanna get a AW then go for GPS..if you want other material casings and no budget constraint then go for cellular version..

i personally like the stainless steel casing..will go and see also the ceramic and titanium casing when it is available in MY..

Was thinking is it worth getting AW4 with the 200 discount now or just wait for AW5? tongue.gif
*
if got budget/want to get celluar version(if apple offer it for MY market)..go for AW S5..
if just to get a AW..AW S4 is more than enough..

Based on the SIRIM database it seem that AW3 might be have cellular version also, if Apple bring in cellular for AW3 then got another cheaper option too  biggrin.gif
*

apple claims the AW S5 battery life is same as S4 with AOD..but not sure how is the battery performance for cellular version..

QUOTE(Barricade @ Oct 24 2019, 01:54 PM)
Don't know why everyone get so worked up with a function that doesn't matter. One lead ECG? Totally useless and gimmick.

Even 5 leads ECG you do at hospital also cannot detect irregular heatbeat if it didn't happen during that 30 seconds you lying down on hospital bed. You need to wear a 48 hours holter monitoring in order to do that.
*
because the ECG feature is cool..even i myself also want to try it..to try whether it is so cool or just gimmicky.. rclxm9.gif

AW4 claimed 18 hours usage... while AW5 also claim 18 hours usage therefore its "same". But AW4 in actual exceeds the 18 hours...
*
yes..apple said they have LTPO technology for AOD..therefore AW S5 can have same hour as S4..

for GPS version yes..if AW receive lesser notification from iPhone..can last very long..my 100% AW sometimes could last for 2 days..

i didn't own AW before. that is why I'm asking whether 18hrs battery life will be troublesome?
*
i am using GPS version..the battery life indeed really not that bad..and the charging speed actually is fast..

i will charge AW everyday even it has more than 50% battery..
sometime i forgot to charge my watch...the next day morning i will charge it once i wake up then go and brush, bath, bangsai..just charge it 15min it could last you 1 day..
that is my case la...

the only thing could trouble you if you dont like to charger your device daily...

ah I see.

So the best way is to get wireless charger for AW ?
*
errrrrr biggrin.gif AW only can be charged by wireless charger..and as what i know and try..it must and only can be charged by using it own charger and some other brand wireless charger(very limited choices..one of it is baseus)..

u try to google "how to charge AW" and AW charger..

and i will strongly suggest you to get 1 because you can have more complete apple set rclxm9.gif and in fact it is the best among the other smartwatch..in term of ecosystem/battery life/user friendly/interface... thumbup.gif and and and also..if you use it to monitor your lifestyle..like walking steps..stand up time...calories..it really helps alot..at least i am motivated by it...

Yaya I also not feel not worth if for purely for watch. Actually I plan to use the watch for GPS running (1 or 2 sessions in a week) and very minimal notification will do..but feel abit inconvenience need to charge it everyday.
*
then easy...
if only for GPS running...out there got alot choices from android with cheaper price..
if you really want AW only..the charging issue also does not really matter you..just wear it whenever you go out for running..other than that just switch it off and put aside..
TBH..this is my concern also before i got AW..after got one...charging is not troublesome..i would like to keep it full charge so that i can wear it everyday..
at the beginning i even wear it when i am sleeping doh.gif

another if..if you only wan GPS running..phone itself has this feature already icon_rolleyes.gif

QUOTE(Lucky85 @ Oct 24 2019, 05:21 PM)
Like not bad can last for two days for minimal notification and still connect to bluetooth. So how about watch charging?fast or not?
*
if not mistaken..charging from 0-100 less 1 hour..
