That's because she cant make up what she really wants and instead stood in between both mens.

I didn't know the world we lived in is so complicated. Maybe people should just constantly practice to be humble so when they have or have nothing there's nothing to brag or have ego about.
*
Yes she was never much of a decision maker, great at following orders but never at making orders.

The ego comes from the fact that at one time they were rather wealthy, at their height they had 16 companies, owned over 500 acres of rubber estate, 4 factories and countless real estate all set up by her late grandfather. It got divided into half upon his death as he had 2 wives and the entire fortune was split to be owned by all the 8 sons from each side. After division everyone went their separate ways. One side within 2 years every last sen was gone as the 4 brothers became extra special guests of Uncle Lim while their sons were into flashy cars and equally flashy girls.

His side they kept everything intact at first, they were doing good made a couple of good real estate deals but their companies were inefficient and top heavy because it had to absorb a lot of deadwood as in any of the operations at least 80% of people there were there because they had the same family name or were related. They developed 80 acres of their land and the rest they sold said plantations weren't the future and concentrated on their factory and bought more land, just in the wrong places and took on too much debt. Also the other problem they had was there are many capable women in their family, they could work for the companies but never be allowed to hold any leadership positions. There was nothing he hated more than a woman making a decision and definitely one of the reasons he was never all that fond of me as he knew I allowed her to make decisions even if it is an important decision.

Just curious why angmoh n prc flag
And why not piap the sister thrn demolish thr house.bet that way thryll feel morr enraged

The old man is a diehard PRC asslicker, all those on /k such as ohman etc would lose out in the level of support he has for anything and everything out of PRC.
The "angmoh" flags represented me and all the values I thought off as important.

I did not need to piap that sister, for that to happen they had already made up their mind whether she said otherwise or I said otherwise that I had been piaping her.

Usually people with empire already shouldn't be able to fcuk-up unless such a big mismanagement... 16 companies man.

Could be called a conglomerate family already. Tan Sri or Dato Sri title kinda stuff. Really tragic to see it all go away in just one generation.. usually shouldn't happen because money makes more money... :/

and 500 acre of land...

It usually only works if they were the ones that built the empire. Once passed on unless it is professionally managed it rarely ever survives its first economic crisis.

Money will only make more money if it is in the right hands.

In that household they rather put a less capable person because he was the oldest male grandson whose only real interest was buying the latest fast JDM car and his father would buy it for him.

I assume you still have the factory running but elsewhere now right?

Tragic loss of wealth from mismanagement. Could have easily remain in the top conglomerate if they family had disciplined their children to work together.

Honestly nothing feels more satisfying than seeing all the children taking up responsibilities of the family business..

Too bad it doesnt happen easily in reality, family fueds and mismanagement as from your story above.

Where did you source all these people to come work in Malaysia? Easy to provide visa?

The factory is operating from a new location 18km away from its previous site. When it moved it expanded, 90% of the machinery are no longer the original ones and we no longer manufacture 90% of the low end junk it used to produce. Got to move with times smile.gif

When its original site was auctioned off, we bought over the gate, the bricks that made up the fence and some of the glass panes.

Indeed I always thought it was sad how they just let things go and never bothered to invest in their brand name. The problem was the ones with no power wanted to see a success of the company while the ones that had the power preferred to milk the empire till it was down to its last drop.

She wanted to work together with all her cousins, in fact she told me her hopes is one day together with all her cousins the factory would be successful enough to be able to buy the neighboring lot. She herself was disheartened when she found out just how bad a mess it was in and she was upset I had moved it from its original site.

Family feuds that causes these types of companies or empires to fail aren't anywhere as uncommon as imagined.

The Dutch guy, I knew him when he was an exchange student at my university, then he married a Malay girl (she was only 19 then and he 45) and moved here. He had experience in the industry and I asked him if he was up for an adventure. I didn't need to apply for a visa for him as all that was needed was for him to have a permission to work on his social visit pass that you get as a foreigner that married a Malaysian citizen. I told him I will pay him a typical Malaysian chinaman company salary for someone of his role, expertise and experience. If he makes the company profitable he will get the Dutch equivalent.

The German I found her off an expatriate group on FB, she posted that she was travelling and wondered if it was possible to get a job here as she enjoyed her time here so much. I saw her face, thought wow pretty girl so I asked for her CV and asked if she would take a job on local terms. She said okay and we had an interview. I told her same terms as the Dutch, she said it would be nice to have a Dutch salary and live in Malaysia and she said she hoped it would come within a year.
Her visa wasn't difficult to get. Just had to show the skillset, jobscope and what was intended. I registered her as a trainer and they allowed it.

The Taiwanese, she posted on the same FB group asking how to find a job very quickly after being without a job for 5 years as her Malaysian husband had lost his job and they were running low on funds to survive. She stated her skillset and I told her to send me her CV. 5 minutes after sending it over, she messages me to ask if I had seen her CV. She said she is a very proactive person. I called her and asked her to come by for an interview with the Dutch. We met up, she said she been having difficulty finding a job because she been out of work for 5 years due to having children. She said we won't regret giving her a chance, I smiled at her and told her we weren't so sure if she would regret it that we gave her that chance. The Dutch guy said this was who we needed straight away and asked me to hire her. Like the Dutch guy she didn't need a visa.
