I did something very stupid. I demolished one house.

You have such a troublesome ex-partner and you would went to that extent to piss them off.

Her dad sound like he has big ego issue. Loss his fengshui house as a result. No one to blame but himself.

She isn't troublesome on her own, she became that way because she often felt torn between what her father wanted vs what she wanted vs what she thought I wanted.

Oh yes, he has a gigantic ego, even when they now essentially have nothing the ego is still there.

I try to console myself that I gave them the chance but he couldn't see past his own nose.
*
That's because she cant make up what she really wants and instead stood in between both mens.

I didn't know the world we lived in is so complicated. Maybe people should just constantly practice to be humble so when they have or have nothing there's nothing to brag or have ego about.

QUOTE(BillCollector @ Sep 11 2019, 01:33 AM)
Yes she was never much of a decision maker, great at following orders but never at making orders.

The ego comes from the fact that at one time they were rather wealthy, at their height they had 16 companies, owned over 500 acres of rubber estate, 4 factories and countless real estate all set up by her late grandfather. It got divided into half upon his death as he had 2 wives and the entire fortune was split to be owned by all the 8 sons from each side. After division everyone went their separate ways. One side within 2 years every last sen was gone as the 4 brothers became extra special guests of Uncle Lim while their sons were into flashy cars and equally flashy girls.

His side they kept everything intact at first, they were doing good made a couple of good real estate deals but their companies were inefficient and top heavy because it had to absorb a lot of deadwood as in any of the operations at least 80% of people there were there because they had the same family name or were related. They developed 80 acres of their land and the rest they sold said plantations weren't the future and concentrated on their factory and bought more land, just in the wrong places and took on too much debt. Also the other problem they had was there are many capable women in their family, they could work for the companies but never be allowed to hold any leadership positions. There was nothing he hated more than a woman making a decision and definitely one of the reasons he was never all that fond of me as he knew I allowed her to make decisions even if it is an important decision.

Usually people with empire already shouldn't be able to fcuk-up unless such a big mismanagement... 16 companies man.

Could be called a conglomerate family already. Tan Sri or Dato Sri title kinda stuff. Really tragic to see it all go away in just one generation.. usually shouldn't happen because money makes more money... :/

and 500 acre of land...

It usually only works if they were the ones that built the empire. Once passed on unless it is professionally managed it rarely ever survives its first economic crisis.

Money will only make more money if it is in the right hands.

In that household they rather put a less capable person because he was the oldest male grandson whose only real interest was buying the latest fast JDM car and his father would buy it for him.

I assume you still have the factory running but elsewhere now right?

Tragic loss of wealth from mismanagement. Could have easily remain in the top conglomerate if they family had disciplined their children to work together.

Honestly nothing feels more satisfying than seeing all the children taking up responsibilities of the family business..

Too bad it doesnt happen easily in reality, family fueds and mismanagement as from your story above.

Where did you source all these people to come work in Malaysia? Easy to provide visa?
