I wonder from rm28 bilion a year for pension, how much is really for ex civil servants, and how much for the ex politicians? Mind you, ex civil servants will only bring back half of basic salary, and their basic salary is usually less than what private sectors earn. ( gov gives more allowances)

Gov worker need to at least serve for 10 years baru layak berpencen.
And that's not even full pension.
30 years to get full pension, and full pension is at 60% of basic salary, IINM.

YB serve for 3 years can pencen dy.

Let's not forget people like Thanos already recieving pension, now back become PM.
He sapu pension and gaji liao.

Big portion of our tax payer money is use just to pay government servant salary including ministers etc.

I agree pension should be removed for YB, but remain for government servent that has served > 10 years because they don't have EPF at the first place.

Then pension should be capped at RM5k per month per person.

It doesn't make sense you need more than RM5k per month after you retire (excluding medical bills).

It is time to remove tongkat and let people walk in earth gravity, not moon.

Half of the salary for retirement is very high. For provident funds like CPF and EPF, will be quite lucky to get even one fifth.

Considering the very low retirement age in Malaysia (60?), pension should be reduced to may be 10 to 15 percent of last drawn salary. At most 25 percent, if the salary was low.

Aiyoo..if 10% -15% what is the benefit for staying 30years without EPF..my epf employee portion already 19%.

And this is why BN last time terus senyap after they brought up the pencen issue. Many people know the pencen for politicians is really nonsense.

Whichever politician bring up pencen issue, will be shot back. And politicians will never do something that would bring negative impact on themselves.

And even if they remove, opposition can use it as an election promise to bring it back.

anyone remember loh gwo burne, one term PKR mp from 2008 to 2013. he is 45 this year. gov suppose to pay him monthly pension until he is dead. now kelana jaya different MP. what if kelana jaya has 5 different living mps who each serve one term only. 5 monthly pension for 5 people that no longer do anything. that is some crazy wasteful shit.
