Moving forward i feel china is really uninvestable, not because of their business capability but rather geopolitics.

When two main economies clashes for the top spot, unless an apparent winner is form and the other gave way voluntarily this will probably be an unending cycle.

I will be keeping my position on alibaba and tencent, but i dont think their valuation will go anywhere anytime soon as they are stuck between US and China.

Edit: china domestic company still investable but those with global ambition and looking for foreign capital, that will probably always be a china vs US/global mode for the time being.

although i hold a lot of china tech, im just giving my fair assessment. Cannot be bias or blinded.

if someone were to come in and ask about wanting the best gain for 2022 or 2023 i would advice against china tech. But as for me im already knee deep, and im not selling any of my holdings, still got many good things like hk connects, loose china monetary policy, asia digitalization, international expansion going for these china tech. But downside also equally alot.

If today i dont hold china tech, i also have no idea where to deploy my capital.

But at this 110 - 180 range, unless relation with US fundamentally change, if one had spare capital better to use the money to buy beaten up US tech like Intel, Palantir, or even META for better result.

Only did i enter during the China sell down, and i only bought China cause it has pretty good value. Apart from that i have been doing nothing since Oct last year apart from bargain hunting on meta during feb and gambling on cryptos

Not necessary. My Vietnam ETF did not suffer any serious pullback since I bought it in 2021. The Vietnamese are tough cookies ...

Ant Financial paid dividends for the first time too. Based on the 3.94 billion RMB Baba received, the total payout from Ant to all shareholders is estimated to be close to 12 bliion RMB.

Result was not that great but due to super low expectation, and cloud segment finally turning a profit, market seemed satisfied with the result.

Still i feel Alibaba has too many loss making business segment, their direct to retail model is another new segment that is eating their margin, not sure how to really feel from it.

Growth from international commerce is still too slow as well. Need to compare SEA limited growth to have a good benchmark on whether external environment such as Ukraine/Russia conflict and China covid lockdown is the real reason for the slow growth as stated.

I am wondering if the dividend published is net or gross?  I would presume it is gross number subject to 10% with holding tax deduction.

As for Chinese stocks in US exchanges yes that is why since I enter US exchanges I never hold a single China stock I also very scared suka suka delist. But I think in US suka suka still need some official process not like today announce tomorrow suspend trading and delist? Hmmm....

Worst is over for Chinese market??
