Just received a sms sent to my hotlink sim saying I've subscribed to some sort of service. Even though I have never subscribed to these kind of weird service before. Should I reply? Or is it a scam? Thanks.

This is like the 4 time that I have been charged without permission for these stupid value added services.

The last time, I told the CS to bar my account from all these scam providers

Maxis seriously do something about it else I can am really going to terminate my account

I made a complaint through my Hotlink app yesterday and so far no response yet from the Customer Service.

I just cancelled by sending a sms and got charged 15 sen just for that.

This is really WTF are you guys at maxis and Hotlink doing.

You are allowing your customers to continue to get scammed and there will be sizeable customers who don't know what is happening and just get scammed this way.

I have not complained to MCMC because I believe it giving Maxis a chance to correct their mistakes and although I got refunded in past, this nonsense should stop.

I hope CS will contact me soon before I decide to escalate my complaint to mcmc

You are going to lose another customer soon.

As an update, maxis has reached out to me and refund the RM2.15 back to me.

I do hope that maxis can improve their security so that customers don't get billed without consent

Same too.. My number scam 4 times.
At first, I thought it might be the leakage of personal details. So replacement SIMcard (at least got changes of SIM serial number).

But yet still charges of it.. I was like WTF.
More worst, ask me call the 3rd party customer services request refund.. damn it.. Scam more deeper..

i received this kind of Scam almost every week. Sometimes they charged me RM3 on the spot, then, i need to keep on sending STOP XXX to them and get charged RM0.15 each. I think MAXIS is making $$ from them, so they won't bother to take any action on this kind of SCAM.

Nowaday, they even using confusing website, or this is really one of MAXIS's new business?

this is the URL in the SMS.

Can this be report to MCMC?

Can't believe this still happened until today.

My parent's phone (non-smart phone) once a while keep getting this type of scam, where old people can't do much just let it deduct the credit. doh.gif

Maxis should not allow all this happened.

Anyone report and can get refund?
