Condo robbery is usually someone staying inside the condo. My family condo got a few cases. Robber was a tenant, stay in a condo for few months, observe who come in and out at what time. Rob a few units, and then move out a few months later and repeat again at another condo. CCTV only at guard house so it is pointless, stairs usually not monitored

Most of the time it will be an inside job, those thieves acting as a tenant, that’s why when I see unfamiliar faces walking in my floor will check where he is going and call the guard house to keep a look out. Good thing is my unit is must pass by when the security guards makes their rounds every 4 hours.

Do invest in motion detector, cctv pointing to the hallway and always lock your windows when leaving or before sleeping. I don’t install grills on my unit windows and balcony sliding doors, only at the main door.

management is shitty.... if its my place i will ask management to consider install grills as its bad building design.

since u r renting, discuss with owner to move out or add grill.

should be inside job. they rent/live inside, time every single house entrance and exit time. and do their work

my friend's car got stolen in a high class serviced condo. about 5:30 am in the morning CCTV spotted.

She usually go to her car at 6:30 am. 5:30 am is the start of residences going to their car.

the cctv spotted the guy opened the car using some sort of key and stand there act like alarm gone wrong. people walk pass thought he is the car owner trying to fix the battery of his car key..
But inside the car there was another guy defusing the alarm.

Finally, they drove off the car within 10 mins.

Security guards can't do shit because they aren't even properly trained. mostly operated by gangsters company like, and hiring people who are lazy to bother to check things.
if u don't pay the security fees, they will say something like "kalau ada apa masalah dalam rumah you kita tak akan buat apa" This are the words that I really really hate it.

For condos, because is considered maintenance fees + guard fees, you pay them in a lum sum, but still they don't do shit properly.

Nothing u can do..make a police report and ask the mgmt to reassess their security routine in the AGM or whatsapp group.

They already issue a reminder about that and security personnel cannot be at every level.

The later.
The outside part of the corridor has some stepping area which caused he can climb in from outside the window.
Which mean if he failed to climb in or get caught in the middle
still got chances falling down from the building
big heart this thief have.

Anyway got advise for the management?

Wow I also worry like this. But my home is only accessible by the neighbor. Like this I gotta start to put grills at my home.

Is the home owned by you or you renting ? You can enhance security by add security tinting windows.

If you rent then not much you can do not probably move out since the design of your condo security is so awful.

Does your condo have jmb? You can take up the issue with them to force your mgmt co to take action. Talk to the chairman. They also got a vested interest to ensure condo is safe

I am sure they have cctv that can track that perpetrator. Get polis involve. Mgmt office got the list of all the contractors and visitors.

Your window just next to the walking way and you didnt do anything about it?
Instead of blaming security guard, what has you done on your part?

If someone can safely climb over (less than 1 meter from walking away or next unit), you should already have grill to seal window.

You sounds like my management talking pattern.
Kuda when things happened. Said should put on the grill early.
Come to my place, if you can climb in, i let you take any stuff at my home, talk about can safety climb over?
Relook at my post, i never put all the blame on the security, i understood there's not entire up to their fault. I fucking insult them is because they do nothing after the incident.
Let's say you are the police now, what would you do when accident happned?
Increase the ronda la, make the security more tighten la.
Tengok youtube buat apa, bodoh.

I said there's already a memo from management.
Instead putting a 50sec A4 memo at every elevator, what else can management and security prevent this kind of things keep happen in the future?
what is the solution for long term?
you would say install grill, fine. You pay for the grill of the design fault, for my unit?
why not the management sealed the corridor windows instead asking me to install the grill?
There's always people like you all the time.
Take a step behind, think of a bigger picture.

ask owner to add on grill to toilet windows, cheapest and fastest solution.

Guard in an area is not safe guard ur house doesn't get break in. Same concept like car alarm doesn't protect u from car getting stolen or break in. Suspect might be staying the same building also, especially high rise building with high density.

Add electric grill to electrify the theft to drop from 18 floors...

since when others need to pay for the design fault of your unit?
since when management need to pay and rectify the design failure of developer?

You reported to police and then you want the police to give you a report how to solve the theft?
Good luck with that.

Enough and good luck with you.
Your logic is like JMB and management are not necessary to take any action.
Thanks for the advise.
No need to reply more.
