is there any way to backup the virus definitions for this anti-virus, so that when i format my PC or install it on a new computer i wont have to update again..

i suppose one way to do it , copy the whole program folder, and then after reinstalling just copy over back

Put it simply, most AVs don't have any registry related to the date of the updates. They depend on the dating system integrated into their Update/Signature/Footprint Files.
You ought to take consideration into THESE Places where Updates might be lurking:- 1. Program Files 2. Windows (Folder) 3. Documents and Settings/All Users Cheers! |

if u dun mind go and pay 48 bucks and get a ori antivirus from a forumer..wif 1 year license ..then u need not worry everytime u wan to format ur pc

if you wan to be safe, copy the whole AV directory into a CD or any disk, and after you have format your PC, and after you have reinstall the AV, ask your AV go to the CD to look for new virus defination, in that way you can save time for all the new download. Hope its help.
