any good 5:1 speaker recommend? i'm planning to use it for my LCD TV at living room, mostly use it for gaming so i need a better base instead...

those speaker for PC like sonic gear Evo7 can plug into TV? can computer speaker plug into TV?

if i got a 5:1 speaker, how i suppose to pull the line for the rear speaker? got any extender?

oops.....my budget is around RM300 plus, not looking for really high end set...

actually got altec lansing in my mind since that day i go buy games i went into 1 of the shop the altec lansing 5:1 only RM305, but didnt test the speaker though...

2:1 good enough?

why buy 2 X600? can connect together ar?

actually i'm looking for a more bassy sound system lar, r501MKII at RM420 looks good, M3500 at RM329 the price also not bad....

but are the woofer running on downfiring or front firing? currently my LCD TV is downfiring, and it sounds good and clear, no matter which direction i go, the volume level remains the same for quite a distance

and also my living room is quite pack, especially at the front where the TV and other player is located, so if i want to place the woofer, place at where better? coz i heard if the wooder place too near to electronic stuff like DVD player or TV it will spoil the component inside the DVD player and TV, i got a PS3 under my TV and if i place my woofer beside it, it should be no good right? coz the woofer might damage the lense.

but some said is the vibration/shaking that cause by the subwoofer will damage the HDD and lense

then the lense also? if like that then i have to put some sponge under my ps3 to absorb the vibration already

those vibration absorber i mean is not those expensive and special made one, i prefer DIY

no lar, if i want to put i will put at the 4 "leg" of the PS3 there, been thinking to use those that stick under the "leg" of the chair there to reduce sound when pulling the chair.

i got one question, if side firing woofer point downward to the ground will it be same like downfiring? sounds stupid?

got another question

if i buy a 5:1 speaker, for example the edifier r501, how should i mount the rear left and rear right? i mean the cable problem, how long is the cable? if not long enough then how? if i really want to mount the rear speaker, i need approx 20 meter because i want to pull the wire follow the wall to the ceiling, if the wire too long will it have some delay between rear and front speaker? assume that i'm using digital in and out, is the optical cable carry digital signal or analog? i prefer digital

and also my TV only got L and R plug, dont have rear left and rear right or something

i'm not sure, i dont own any 5:1 before, the cable i use for my PC speaker is the green jack one.

what is the maximum that the red and black support? does it has any length limitation like our LAN cable for our modem that only support up to 100m

is living room lar actually, might consider edifier r501 if i got that budget, but the problem is i have to do all the wiring stuff, which is the most headache.

i need to route the wire from the back of the TV to the wall and climb all the way up to the ceiling there and go all the way to the back to the speaker there, the main reason is to prevent eyesore of course, if i route it on the floor to the back then when my parents step on the wire sure complain, and when sweeping floor that time also abit hard.

the problem is, can i do like this? coz all the speaker have their cable mounted inside already and cannot plug out

there is a edifier showroom in lowyat plaza 4th floor right? if got then maybe i will go there tomorrow to see see lor

my budget is only RM400, and i'm planning to connect the speaker with my PS3 and TV

my PS3 only come with this AV cable, and i can plug this into the speaker right? since it got red and white also.

i think the converter are not expensive right? how much those converter will cost?

my only worry is, if i'm going to buy a 5:1, how do i mount those rear speaker 2" above normal ear level is just too low for my living room, if place high above will it have any effect on the sound quality??

just went to lowyat plaza and test the edifier R501, 8" the downfiring was no bad, after i walk around half of the shop still can hear the bass

the rear speaker of r501 is using clip, but i walk around there and many of the shop didnt sell the cable, i ask the salesman, he said that cable is speaker cable, but what exactly is the cable name? it got red and black, but dont have jack at the other end and it clip to the rear speaker

then how about the speaker cable thing?? i dont really need those high quality cables unless the low quality cable really affect the sound quality by a lot......

my PS3 got optical, but my LCD TV only got red and white.

and i think edifier r501 doesn't support optical input also

so i have to output my PS3 sound to TV via HDMI then connect the speaker to TV right?

then will i have some degrade in sound quality? my PS3 also have rca output.

the rear speaker that mounted at the rear put at the upper corner of the ceiling? and the speaker direction face where is better? the sofa or the TV?
