QUOTE(advocado @ Jan 9 2008, 10:39 AM) So how do i utilize 5.1 speakers? Most configuration recommended on-board soundcard and 5.1 speakers. You can pair 5.1 computer speaker with on board sound card or expansion card for better quality of sound. If you pair home theater speaker or amp with computer, you need buy other sound card like asus xonar d2 (example only) that have the digital S/PDIF output. |

QUOTE(andrewL @ Jan 20 2008, 10:27 PM) can some1 recomend me a 2.1 speaker around RM200 which has many convenient features such as headphone pod, LCD display, averagely nice design and of course the sound quality must be quite good but doesnt have to be the best in the market bcoz im not exactly a serious audiophile though i enjoy nice and clear sound+bass Sonic gear Evo series can meet your requirement. |

QUOTE(awh85 @ Mar 10 2008, 12:26 PM) wanna ask if the "350MB Internet version" of tv shows like prison break, heroes, smallville, etc support 5.1 surround sound or not? and if yes, what would be a good budget 5.1 system under RM300? You can check the video file properties. I got few episodes of Prison Break with 6 channel, I can't feel the surround effect because I'm using 2.1 speaker. While I had Tokyo Drift (internet version) file size around 1.3GB, my friend watch this movie with z5500. I can feel the surround effect !priority is for music and movie playback, gaming not too important. would be nice also if it came with a wireless remote (who am i kidding? lol) to be used with my onboard Realtek ACL888. I suggest you save more money to get a better 5.1 speaker |

Your budget only can buy Creative Inspire series 5.1 speaker, Logitech X530, edifier m3500....
From the speaker above, I /suggest x530. The best speaker for music is 2.0/2.1 speaker, if you not require any surround effect. You can choose 2.0/2.1 speaker. Audition by yourself is the best way to find best speaker for you. This post has been edited by Faint: Mar 11 2008, 06:25 PM |
