headphone can damage your ears because its direct sound to your ear drum when speakers it needs to project the sound from a distance. Long term u will be half deaf.

Its like u know big BOOM BOX or huge speakers u put your ears near it with loud music u sure go deaf for awhile.

I recommend for long hours use a speaker.

guys, i just realize the existence of this thread. keke... well, i posted elsewhere... anyway, i want something compact and yet powerful. reason being i m buying for my bro who is in overseas, he is using with his xps m1330 laptop for watching movie, mp3, and games (seldom).. members here recommended me Edifier S730D, well w/n my budget and i like the design but its too bulky and heavy to bring over to him. And others recommend me MX5021 but i dun like the look. so is there any other choices? budget is about RM1k. thanks..

Mako is a little bit off his budget, around RM1200++, but may be you should consider it coz the size of Mako is pretty small, easier to bring it overseas.
