hi razzd. just wanna ask something.. can the satellite cables of the t3 be detached or replaced with better wires? cos i know the aego m can, and many people say aego m sounds a lot nicer after changing the cables to better one. so is aego m with nice cables better or still worse than the t3?

Danny,

You're welcome. Of course, don't take my word literally - have an audition. I am almost certain you will walk away with a very good impression.

Even better, walk away with the T3s in your hand, paid for, of course...  biggrin.gif

As with all things, nothing is perfect. What seems awesome to me might be "another man's poison". Have an expectation that commensurates with the asking price, and ultimately, you be the judge if it's worth its "weight in gold".

As for my Aegos, they have served me well. I've packed them away in a carton stashed away in the store room.  tongue.gif

if i have the cash, i would've bought the t3 by now... huhu... anyone willing to let me steal theirs? i'd leave a thank you note if u do. hehe. anyway, i know it's best to go audition the speakers themselves.. but.. an audiophile-wannabe like me probably couldnt tell the difference between those high end speakers.. of course i know the sq of my r1900t3 is a lot better than a rm30 usb speaker, but to compare the aego m and t3, that's quite a challenge to a guy like me who's still having problem differentiating a normal heart sound and a diseased one. so i would like to ask ur opinion so that i'd buy the best speaker for the money, and then train my ears to be audiophile-grade ears. a series of trial and error involves a lot of speakers, and consequently, a lot of money, which i dont have. anyway, i do love music, and u guys over here are really helpful no matter what kind of questions i asked. totally different than the guys at "fast and furious" forum. thanks again biggrin.gif

RM600 for laptop LCD? my old acer laptop also got lcd problem. but not so serious. now just 5 vertical lines almost "dead" at the right side of the lcd. what laptop is yours?
*
i have acer aspire 4310, and my problem is much more serious than yours. only show black and white dots. can barely see some picture behind the dots. hook to external lcd only works until windows loading screen, the it says no signal. acer said need 600 for the lcd or mobo, 50 inspection fees, and labour charges dont know how much. but total will be damn expensive. huhu... sad.gif

whats the cheapest 5.1 speakers  i can get now ah?
*
are u sure u wanna look for the cheapest? i'd suggest u get a 2.1 for the price of a cheap 5.1. would u rather have 2 good speakers in front of u, or 5 terrible speakers all around u? if u have around rm200 to spare, invest in a 2.1 my friend. unless u're a really big fan of 5.1. goodluck anyway! wink.gif

well now im using edifier m1310 if im not mistaken ... welll i got a budget of around 500 <
*
ohh.. if rm500 then shouldnt be much problem... i thought u want a 5.1 speaker below rm200.. hmm, im not a big fan of 5.1, so hopefully other experts will help u. g'luck!! wink.gif

My perception is 5.1 speakers (RM250-400) ones are meant for movie watching, not specially for instrumental music.

Since it's for laptop, I'll suggest Creative T40. You can demo it in All IT Hypermart in LYP.
*
QUOTE(butter finger @ Feb 22 2009, 09:39 PM)
5.1 is for movies / dvds encoded with DD or DTS. I don't see the point listen to music in surround format, it will just spoild the stereo image. Music is for stereo format only, means two channel with or without sub.
*
totally agree with the two experts. 5.1 for movies, not music. 2.1 for music better. even if u went to orchestra, u'll be sitting in front of them, not among them or right in the middle of the stage right? besides, it's for laptop right? not easy to move around a 5.1 set, compared to 2.1.

Added on February 22, 2009, 10:58 pmoh, by the way, wanna buy my speakers? if u're interested in a 2.0 setup, look at my garage sale. u can come and audition the speaker if u want, but i cant provide a good setup la cos my room damn small, and i dont have classical instrument music to demo. only oldies in mp3 format, and no sound card. onnboard sound card only.

not all are experts and fast reply because they want to help... take me for example, im not an expert and i spam a lot, babbling about speakers which i've never heard of. and replying fast just to increase post count. moral is, dont take our words 100%, we all have different ears so take ur time to find ur best audio equipment that suits ur budget! wink.gif

rm400 for a 2.1 usually people recommend the edifier s330, rm390-400 at lowyat. wink.gif
but if u wanna shake ur neighbours house, get the klipch promedia gmx 2.1!
