S530D no doubt.. Z2300 sub is just too boomy for music.. Plus the highs kinda suck.. biggrin.gif

Sound card makes a world of difference.. Simple logic la.. u take high end graphics card and low end graphics card and compare.. See got difference onot.. But some ppl ears are just tone deaf.. biggrin.gif

i got one question, if side firing woofer point downward to the ground will it be same like downfiring? sounds stupid? sweat.gif

I think inside the driver is positioned differently so might cause the woofer to be unstable resulting in lousy bass..

yaya.....bookshelf speaker, small one, not really those home theater level one...

i'm not really into doing a dedicated room for home theater...

if i could find some used speaker from car maybe i can mod it to bookshelf speaker since the wood casing should not be a problem for me laugh.gif

The casing alone would affect the SQ by a fair margin.. So by doing ur own there is risk of the speakers sounding bad..

for me speakers clarity is not a big problem, because with the creative advanced EQ and functions, i can make the sound REAL clarity. But bass is something that you cant "strengthen" even with softwares.

TQ

For you perhaps not.. But for me the clarity is just average.. Plus the bass is too boomy.. Movies/games would be fine.. But music.. hmm.gif
