i will choose M3300 in no time. but somehow i also like E3100 which is cheaper. due to the subwoofer definitely...

i dun recommend usage of sb 24-bit external., im using the SB X-Fi 5.1 USB. i also have M3300 before. but use another better multimedia speaker now. honestly i dun really find / notice any difference... i think its quite a waste to buy M3300 and sb x-fi usb altogether. better buy AEGO M, S530D or MX5021. summore the usb thingy drain up my cpu speed, since my laptop is 3.5 years old now... unless u getting 5.1 or better speaker, i really dun recommend the sb 24bit with m3300...

BUT! when i pair my x-fi 5.1 usb to my old amp driving two 6.5" woofer and 2" midrange, it sounds much sweeter than the onboard soundcard (mine is 16-bit). so its not bad after all...

the usb is not useless, its useful, but not worth it because i buy X-fi 5.1 more expensive than the M3300 itself. the M3300 performance are not really improved using the usb soundcard. unless, u're planning to upgrade in the near future, then no doubt get the soundcard. i think getting both M3300 and usb x-fi can costs 500. well, better get better speaker isnt it?

anyway if your laptop is after mid 2005, should be 24bit alredy. mine is early 2005, still using AC97, which is 16-bit...

M3300 is a very good speaker in 250. but not the best for basshead type. please listen before buying otherwise regret. i like the way M3300 speak, which is clear and sharp for its price... but frankly speaking i dun like its subwoofer. thats y i gave it to my cousin, im using speaker which is better than it today.

i advise u get s2.1m insteed of GMX,becoz personally i feel the GMX's treble is oversharp and quite annoying,s2.1m have very good treble and solid ,wellcontroled bass.

Was gonna go for the Edifier M3300 (239RM?) but I decided to up my budget a bit since I'm gonna use these speakers quite a lot and for quite a long time.

So I have some questions:

1. Which one is better in terms of sound quality? Edifier S2.1 (350RM?) vs. JBL Creature II (339RM?)

2. I'm not sure what the difference between S2.1M and S2.1D is. I looked up the Edifier website and it says "high quality Digital Input", but what is that? (Should I even be concerned with it?) (Also, are there any price differences between the S2.1M and S2.1D?)

Note: I will be using the speakers to listen to mostly rock music, 80% of the time. 20% of the time to watch movies. Also, it'd be nice to have opinions from a few different professionals. Making careful investments here!

the s2.1D u mention is this ? if yes,i will recomend u get the s2.1m becoz s2.1m is made to replace this model.in my opinion,s2.1m has better clarity compare to the old s2.1D.

i also would like to know the diff between C1 and C3 other than price of about rm100. does C1 has the edifier's Electronic Intelligence Distortion Control (E.I.D.C).

as far i heard of the s2.1m is replace by s330 ? i went to lowyat all out of stock .... dunno when then available.

if compare C1 and s2.1m/s330 which to go for ? one is with ext amplifier and the other doesnt.

so far C3 is the most success model in C series,and S330 is actualy =s2.1m,they are sam e.so fast out of stock ? i remember tat last month b4 merdeka there is still a lot in ALL IT,so fast habis ?

C3 compare to s2.1m is it ? well,in my opinion,s2.1m is better in terms of satelites and bass,if u wan the best sound quality among these 2,s2.1m is the right choice,u definetely wont regret ,if u not trust me,u can go lowyat compare them side by side,the different is very obvious
the C3's external amp very attractive is it ? sound quality more important

Added on September 8, 2008, 10:44 pmso far sub RM500 I only played s2.1m,klipsh promedia and mx5021,and they are pretty good,klipsh's treble too sharp,quite uncomfortable for me, of course ,u may go try other model

below is my opinion for altec mx5021-->decent satelites,very powerfull bass,every thump goes deeply into heart
edifier s2.1m---->very good satelites,powerfull tweeter combine with well controled woofer


good things of course will recomended by ppl creative depend on wat model la,their low end and mid range such as i trigue very bad if compare to other brand's speaker in same price range.

the klipsch that could stand over mx5021 is klipsch promedia 2.1 not the promedia gmx 2.1

yea xk2, the design of C3 is very attractive to me lol ... well guess i'll go for the s2.1m/330. quality is wut i want anyway.

well besides out of stock the price increased about 10% lol.

so s2.1m and 330 is exactly same no diff right ? then i will get either one of em. at first i thought the s330 got significant performance than the s2.1m xD
