The TX6 does come with a standby mode (short press the power button) and shut down mode (long press the power button).. and my box is unrooted (by seller).

Just sharing this info as some users claimed that after unrooting their boxes, they can't shut down, only standby mode.

Install new update. If can't update via playstore, dload latest version from apkpure. Uninstall old aotg, install the one u downloaded from apkpure.

How do we watch the channels? Kena subscribe or what?

Tested on phone, all channels black screen only.

Spec wise, TX3 > TX6, and tx3 has a root switch which tx6 doesn't.

As for apps, currently the ones that work for me are CinemaHD, CyberflixTV (no ads, backup to CinemaHD, but slower getting links), and then there are a few apps with a different ui than those two.. CyroseHD, and Aspart (same as CyroseHD, backup). Google it or u can search at apktime website. And finally, rarely use these few.. TeaTV, Typhoon.

As for Kodi, well, the only thing I use it to watch our live local tv channels as my cheap dvb box kaput a few months ago.. and the only addon I install is Exodus Redux.

Anyway, I'm currently on a 1-week trial ExpressVPN, just to see how the speed and quality works, even on the lousy umobile coverage. You want good quality streaming app, then Stremio is one of them, provided u have a vpn due to the streaming uses p2p/torrent seeders. And to my surprise, it is awesome. The ui, video quality, speed (more seeders, faster, smoother). So far so good.

Btw, tq for mentioning Tivimate app. I almost forgotten there are iptv apps to play local channels other than kodi.

Strangely enough, the local channels (eg TV3) loads flawlessly on Tivimate, but failed to load on some other iptv apps eg OTT Navigator (most local channels can't seem to load at all). There must be a setting I missed out.

As for Unifi TV app, on phone, can't seem to select the streaming quality, it's fixed at Auto. However, on my TX6 box, the quality can be manually selected.
