30% is normal because they clear everything upfront and had to hold on to the cars for sometimes. Cars are depreciating asset so got to have bigger leeway in case get stuck in inventory for more than 2years.
I wonder can join bidding at Carsome or not. Buy for personal use
You need to be a registered used car dealer, and a deposit is required in case you bid for fun and don't buy.

You don't have much choice, give it a try, if the offer price is good, fast fast sell off...

My experience
1st time was last year. Carsome come and check the car @ my place. They give me a price that acceptable to me. Actually a bit higher than other car dealers that I have asked for trade in. Give me 5 working days to decide.
After accept, set time n place to meet up. Settle documents, thumbprint n money was transferred within 10 minutes. Excellent 👍👍
2nd experience.
Last week. Set time to inspection @ carsome puchong. Takes about 30mins for them to finish. As this is a continental car, they suggest to go for bidding. They suggest a range of price to start with. The range given was much higher than any car dealers that I have asked. They set to start bidding on this coming tuesday.
They have about 2000 dealers to view and bid. If anyone bid, i can decide to sell or not within 24 hours. They give 3 times. If no one bid for my car, I can bid another 2 times, but have to reduce at least 5% from 1st starting bid price.
Pray that I can get good value for the car as car dealers I have asked all give low value as it's a conti car.
All the best.
Good luck...
