Hello

Type of camera/lens/accesories : Mirrorless
Budget : RM3000-RM3500 (can stretch if using cc installment)
Your Location : KL/Selangor
Preferable brand : Sony Alpha
Type of photography u want to do : travel, video, picture (lansscape_
Any specific models in mind? : A6000 @ A6400

I am thinking what should i took, i am amateur in this photography
Which should i take?

Plan A
Buy A6000 + Kit Lens
Buy Lens Sony E 35mm f/1.8 OSS Lens
Total RM3500-4000

Plan B
Buy A6400 + Kit Lens (RM4000)

Which is better choice?

Eyeing for 6400 over 6000
- more focus point 4++ vs 19+

Eyeing for 6000 over 6400
- cheaper, can buy extra lens

Are you planning to shoot RAW?
*
Nope... not time to edit

Not that A6400 is better, it's a matter of what you need.

Do you need that flippy screen? biggrin.gif
*
I dont need flippy screen
thats why still confuse either
A6000 + Extra really good lens
or
A6400 but only able use kit lens
if budget only enough for either this, what you choose?

I mean the FE library. Not just 50mm only.

With a6000/6400, u get budget 50mm (75mm eq), 35mm (50 eq), whole cheap sigma lineup and kit lens that u can pack small.

Again, not dissing FF. If TS want to go for it, it is also not wrong move. Just need to be aware the "ecosystem" will be different.

How much that sigma lens? i saw all mostly 1.2k

Referring below, to me a6400 is a no brainer.
U will buy certainly buy new lens later on anyway.
play around with the kitlens , get familiar with the camera & features.
Pros of a6400 over a6000
+ flip screen
+ touch screen (for adjusting focusing point)
+ faster AF
+ more AF point
+ better Eye AF
++ 4k video
++ mic input

Advantage of a6000
+ cheaper

Hold on, Sony just announced A6100 and A6600 today. More APSC G lenses too, but not cheap.

Wow...
"As for Sony’s new APS-C lenses, the 16-55mm will be available for $1,400 in October, with the 70-350mm coming later in November for $1,000." -gizmodo.com
It is seems expensive...

Price for A6100 quite tempting but use new mount isnt? so no more E-mount?

Professional photog n video for 15yrs freelancing and owned canon + sony cam for leisure n pro work.

Highly recommend full frame, no apsc can compare to full frame. 16mm on a ff is very diff to 16mm apsc. Future if u wanna get more lens (conlanfirm) you will, FF lens is wayyyy superior although is a lil more exp.

Till now 5dmk1 quality > 80D (canon)

trust me

i own 5dmk1,2,3,4,R sony a7s2, a73, a6000

wow got A6000 on your list...
Great!!
im just a newbie, still learning
mybe 5 years from now i will feel diff between FF & APSC
still lot more to learn

and then mybe that time will upgrade upon my requirement
