I am thinking what should i took, i am amateur in this photography
Which should i take?

bro in what sense ya? a full frame is still a full frame. yes the A6400 may be faster but still for day to day shoot especially if we are not doing for professional sports etc... the A7ii is more practical.

PS: a full frame captures more light and it's 1/2 stops faster than the apsc not to mentioned the A7ii has 8k shutter speed that's something which you will most likely need in harsh sunlight condition, and to freeze important moment/motion. Well that's at least for me. i really don't need 11FPS .

The touch screen, battery life and weight on the other hand is something important as well personally which i can see why the A6400 would make sense. If Sony did not price the A7mii so close to A6400, the A6400 would definitely top my list but now looking at 4.5k vs 4k.. i think i'll pick up the full frame.

Not that A6400 is better, it's a matter of what you need.

Do you need that flippy screen? biggrin.gif

Put it at 1/200 f/4 ISO 400 - both APS-C and FF sensor will get same exposure anyway.

1/8000 shutter speed, not everyone needs that if it's 1/4000 vs 1/8000 difference - that's 1 stop, for most situation you still can 1-stop down the ISO or Aperture.

Freezing motion doesn't necessarily need until that fast, most times freezing motion 1/250 - 1/500 already enough.

A7II is nice but that's parting a lot of money for something from 2014.

Would write an article but I will get straight to the point and recommend a6000 + 35mm or sigma 30mm f1.4 unless u really need that flippy on 6400.

A7mkii is a good FF option but FF lens lineup is not exactly cheap and small. So wouldn't really recommend unless u really need that "FF look". May suggest u explore a bit before jumping into which camera u prefer

For ISO i would say both camera is on par considering the A6400 can go further with it's ISO.
For the SS, there are situation that even at iso-100, SS 1/4000 it's still too bright that you will need adjustment in lightroom/snapseed. I do encounter alot of those scenario during travel.
Freezing motion is just a plus imo.

Anyway still there's no other full frame at the price of RM4.5k. I'm porting from M50 > A7ii but i have yet to buy. I don't really mind something old so long it fit's the purpose. the 11 fps on the m50, the touch to focus on m50, i rarely use em to be honest. What i'm trying to compare if it's a A6400 maybe TS should just settle down with the M50. Are there significant difference between the two?

Canon EOS RP. RM 4.6k can get, with adapter some more.

M50, as in Canon M50? The Canon M50, I like it too but the problem EOS M50 is that it's on Canon EOS M mount which I feel is going to be a mount that will die off eventually, or at least I don't see how Canon will invest their resources into as much as the RF mount.

I wholeheartedly acknowledge that the A7 II is good stuff, and really at that price point (even though 2014 tech) there's nothing to beat it at that price.

Even for my Nikon D750, can't believe that I bought it in 2014 for RM 6k or less, and today it's still priced the same and there's no other product that can match it at that price point.

Owh thanks bro have not look into eos RP will go dig more info about it.

Yeah its the canon m50 paired with a viltrox speedboaster ef-efm mount and the standard viltrox ef-efm i pretty much had real fun with it for more than a year.

Yeah i just want to move to a slightly affordable full frame had alot good time with ep5, m50, a6000 all of it has its pro and con and i love every single one of em. Just wanted to evaluate see if it's really worth moving to full frame trying to justify my next purchase. Hahaha

I mean the FE library. Not just 50mm only.

With a6000/6400, u get budget 50mm (75mm eq), 35mm (50 eq), whole cheap sigma lineup and kit lens that u can pack small.

Again, not dissing FF. If TS want to go for it, it is also not wrong move. Just need to be aware the "ecosystem" will be different.

if you do touch on that topic i think it's the APSC which may be lacking with options. With the sigma 19mm f2.8, 30 f2.8/f1.4, 60mm f2.8 - i think that's about it for it's cheaper choice? or do i miss out anything? On top of that some of the sony lens it's actually compatible to both FE & E mounts.

Anyway i'm actually just impressed with the A7ii with it kit lens by itself, all i'm planning to do is to add in the FE 50mm f1.8 and that's it. I'm not shooting professionally afterall.

PS: the 2 lens mentioned 50mm f1.8 and 35mm f1.8 i owned both of those lenses when i'm using the A6000. haha

Referring below, to me a6400 is a no brainer.
U will buy certainly buy new lens later on anyway.
play around with the kitlens , get familiar with the camera & features.

Pros of a6400 over a6000
+ flip screen
+ touch screen (for adjusting focusing point)
+ faster AF
+ more AF point
+ better Eye AF
++ 4k video
++ mic input

Advantage of a6000
+ cheaper

I dont need flippy screen
thats why still confuse either
A6000 + Extra really good lens
or
A6400 but only able use kit lens
if budget only enough for either this, what you choose?
