Does anyone have issue with the front camera? Noticed that the quality was sub-par.
I thought it was only my device but I saw my brother's Note 10+ and seems sub-par too. |

QUOTE(ridox_orimabu @ Aug 28 2019, 01:20 PM) I felt as if the quality is different compared to the numerous reviews I've seen. It's downright poor. The quality on my Mate 20 Pro is way (emphasis on way) better!Do you think it'll improve with updates coz I don't think it's such a poor sensor. |

QUOTE(mafioso @ Aug 28 2019, 09:32 PM) Impressed with the note 10+ front camera Yes coming from mate 20 pro, this face unlock is as fast. But it needs to use the screen brightness to light up the face for the system to detect. I am currently using a dark live wallpaper (avlbl in device) and it's taking some time to detect. At times it also fails.Used face unlock, the camera can still detect my face when im in my car with minimal street lights Later im gonna try once in the dark in my room |

QUOTE(Koki @ Sep 3 2019, 11:54 PM) tbh i think this year's stupidest smartphone trend is under display fingerprint reader Imho, not necessarily. It takes time and user input for any new tech to improve. If you remember the initial capacitive-based fingerprint scanners such as the one on Samsung Galaxy S5 then you would know how first or 2nd gen tech are. it took several gens and iteration for it to become the sensor we know know which is super fast and has swipe features.it's a total step backward in terms of usability and reliability. last time can just feel and unlock instantly and securely. yet can have gesture to swipe down and reveal notification. now cannot Same goes to this tech. This is just the 2nd gen ultrasonic sensor. Give it time, with more inputs and improvements, it will mature to be as good as the capacitive-based sensors of today. |

QUOTE(benny888 @ Sep 11 2019, 09:26 AM) I had NEVER bother to do such stuffs - I think it only make phone worse Hey, would you be able to guide me how this is done. Or is it possible if you could share a link on how to to manually control the refresh rate.No tweaks except I do a manual control of refresh rate of all app that needed to access the internet to update. This I believe will consume battery in background. This is controlling wakelock. It is only a one time effort and barely takes me an hour. I always do it on all my Android. Sorry no app for such stuff unless phone is rooted. Would appreciate it! |
