I started giving my MS solid kibbles on the day I brought him home. The breeder gave him solid food when he was 1 month plus - not sure exact age and he told me Hepy can eat solid kibbles. So, I jz give him solid until today - nothing happen - no indigestion or anything. Jz a healthy boy. So, i'm not sure coz ppl usually recommend solid kibbles at age 4 mths gua .. not too sure. Jz sharing my experience .

better start the heartworm prevention as soon as your puppy gets his 3rd vaccination. That's what the vet suggested to me. So, 1 week after hepy's 3rd vaccination, I started giving him ProHeart. It costs me RM 50 for 6 tablets (last for 6 months coz i'ts one tablet per month). If your dog is over 6 months old, then you will need to do heartworm testing, in which case, i'm not sure about the price.

Heartgard is just a brand name for heartworm prevention. It's kinda popular coz most ppl are giving heartgard. As for my case, the vet suggested to me ProHeart and told me it's the same effect .. hehe.

i saw Pets Safari selling the heart shape heartworm prevention too. But dunno good or not - around RM 40-55 too .. can last for one year . The one i bought is ProHeart and got six tablets only for RM 50. I think datz da standard price.

The vet told me can give immediately .. but I didn't lor. I gave it to him together with the deworming tablet. I gave both the tablets to him one week after his 3rd jab. U choose an easy date to remember lor . I chose to give him on 10th every month.. hehe .. easy to remember. Then I'll be giving Hepy deworming tablet every beginning of June and December. And his annual vaccination will fall on 7th July every year .. hehehe. Easy to remember ler .

ya .. can last for 1 year for small breed dogs. One go 1/2 tablet only . But dunno wud brand lar .... doesn't look like "standard pill" to me .. hahaahah.

u need to place the tablet at the right place lor. If u put it at his tongue, of course he will spit out coz it's bitter. What i do is I hold his head up and open his mouth wide and say "aaaaaaaa... " and he'll open a bit wider for me. Then jz throw the tablet deep into his throat - straight down without sticking to his tongue. Then fast fast close his mouth and hold for few minutes until I see him swallow, then only i release him again. And give him treat.
