there were 5-6planks burried on some compost waste, hence the black dirt on the wood.- first pic.

actually i collected the bottom pic, 2pcs first, cos i suspect something nice underneath the dirt, and sure enough after planed.. they look so good.

went back to collect the rest few days ago. dirty also nevermind, scrape the loose dirt and throw in car first  biggrin.gif
going to plane the rest of boards and see how they look. will update later.

How about the inside of the wood? Untreated wood should rot easily right? I wonder if they still can sustain weight and use for furniture

Not bad, although I'm not a big fans of wood, but I curious how they will turn out from abandoned rotten wood to nice furniture
