hahhaha ,,, just a wild guess mah .. since it looks pretty similar at the first look ,,
of course it isn't since the smallest xigmatek cooler is around 9 cm ++ definitely not small enough to fit in ... |

Yah ... I'm back.. .
this is the whole scenario .. BS-03 can be used either for exhaust or intake air under the condition the graphic card isn't using blower type that exhaust to the rear side of the case such as 8800GST, GTX, Ultra and 2900XT.. the hot air would be suck back to the case by the side patent fan if it's configured to intake .. If it's adjusted to exhaust, it doesn't do much good coz the vent holes are too restrictive for air to exhaust .. beside there's already lack of air at the gc zone .. so what's the point of having another exhaust fan. As for BS-02 .. it only works when there's vent holes at the side panel as that's where the case fan could draw air from. If it's configured to intake it would cool off the gc very much by 5c for core and all the memory and capasistor as well. This is under the condition the gc is using blower type of cooler that exhaust at the end of the case so that hot air could be pushed out from the case. However it leads to dust accumulation. that's the only issue .. to get the gc zone there must be two fans one intake while another exhaust ...
that's why those that using blower type of cooler found on 8800Series and 2900XT is recommended to use a top or side fan as intake and let the card do the exhausting hot air through it's own cooler .. as for those that aren't using the type of the cooler that I mentioned, one intake and one exhaust fan is definitely needed to effectively cooling the gc zone .... intake to cool the card while exhaust to take out the hot air .. |

@sniper
I'm not sure either how does a 7900GTX cooler will works since it blows toward both directions ... so u could try to mount the fan of BS-03 both intake and exhaust and see any different in temperature.. @temptation1314 PC-A16 is standard ATX size .. It has lots of ventilation holes on the CD-ROM bezel .. that's why sniper refers it as very open ... |

@kujaboyde
Artic Cooling Alphine 7.. cost me RM55 only .. works well and quite .. but not highly recommend for proc that consume up to 90 watts ... @blessedvillain In my opinion .. this is the best designed Lian Li case after V1000.. other new release aren't that brilliant at all .. and just for ur information, many foreginer use this case for their expensive rig that includes a 8800 Ultra inside ... hahha ... guys really getting out from topic ...
@sniper on the roof Yah I did that before and it's not good to change the airflow setup coz the intake would too less resulted lack of cool air within the case ... especially the cool air could barely reach CPU and GC zone .. so it'a no no .... btw.... I'm a mix of taiwan and malaysia actually ... my mom is taiwanese ... hahah .. |

hmm .. that's the thing when using BS-03 .. it just ain't that good and effective ...
I prefer BS-02 with side blow hole coz it could bring in cool air directly to the gc and let the gc to do the hot air exhaust ... Actually don't need high CFM fan over gc zone ... just push around 40 cfm will do very well already. As for the rear intake it's a must since the cool air brought in by the rear fan can cool off CPU and mobo area + ram as well ... but make sure it isn't too high CFM fan as well as it would drags the hot air exhaust by the gc as well .... |

hahah will chopping it helps without the side blow hole ???
I understand that scarifying the box look for a sake of 5c of temperature drop is too much ... probably u could cut the top part of the case for fresh air ... it would looks better with radiator grill selling by uglyvamp ... I'm getting the dual rad grill for finishing touch in future case mod... |

Hmmm ... basically using tower heatsink really restrictive quite amount of air which is pretty much one of the reason I went for Artic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro ...
It's smaller size really is appreciatable of reducing airflow of rear case fan ... it works like charm with my Noctua fans ... I could feel all the air passing by the cooler and across other motherboard component. As for the HDD cage, it's a known issue whenever two or three HDDs is used ... a strong fan would be needed to push enough air through the vent across the front panel which results noice generation. So I applied akasa maxpate to absorb the noise and it really works well ... |
