As per topic, current tyre worn out, went to few tyres shop and all of them recommended me to change my 16 inch stock rim to aftermarket 15 inch rim for 195/55/15 tyres.
I have studied feedbacks from this and other forums and this is what I have gathered.
Pros: cheaper tyres, more protection for rims against scratches, better ride comfort and better fuel consumption.
Point is, does it makes sense to downgrade a larger size rim to a smaller one? And having to Topup in the process.
Fairly new to this part of expertise so any feedbacks will be highly appreciated. Thanks!
Assuming your stock size is 185/55/16 (from Honda website specs), swapping to 195/55/15 will lower your car only by 16mm. Comfort improvement will only be very marginal since both profile is 55. You might not even notice it. Only benefits are, cheaper tires and better cornering if that is your thing. Also, when your speedo reads 110km/h, you are actually at 107 km/h.I have studied feedbacks from this and other forums and this is what I have gathered.

185 vs 195, does not necessarily gives better FC. On the contrary, it's the opposite due to wider contact patch with road. So, wider tires but perhaps lighter rims will just not make much difference to FC.
Digest all information provided by others and decide if that's what you want to do.
