Agree, thinking to buy used golf gti mk6 since new Vento and used mk6 gti priced similarly, but worry about gti engine, takut suddenly engine/turbo failure

I saw few mk6 gti with around 90k mileage, but I never heard opinion from long term owner before, so scare to buy sad.gif

Golf gti mk6 average 7 years car, sure have wear and tear problem here and there, if you are lucky enough, maintaining it won't cause any issue provided you allocate few thousand a year for the parts replacements.

Last time when I own it for 2 years, I spent about 1k for the maintenance + upgrades per month, simply because I want to ensure the car at top performance when I need it, especially suspension, tires and brake.

Even faster than civic turbo 8.2 second. Lel. That is the advantage driving lighter cars. But drawbacks is on highway cruising speed. U can feel, lack of power when cruise. I got crz who can do 9 second century sprint, but on highway, cannot fight, bigger 2.4 accord engine, much more relaxing to cruise.

But 8.1 second, play in town really enjoyable.

I'm not a Civic fanboy, but I personally feel the Civic 1.5TC 0-100 at 8.2s is underrated, should be faster.
