I've driven the Civic TC once, the CVT just doesn't do the job as well as DSG in my opinion, especially when it holds the rpm at about 5k during full throttle, no gear shifts, no emotion. On paper maybe both Civic TC & Jetta 1.4 twincharged does the century sprint more or less the same time, but the kick in the back feel for the Jetta felt stronger especially low end pull. 240nm from 1,500rpm.
