CX-5 will launch a new facelift model of CX-5 this year or perhaps next year, coming with 2.5 Turbo? or 2.0 Turbo? That sounds interesting but I prefer 2.0 Turbo, just city drive.

Too bad I don't think 2.5 is necessary for most people, was looking forward to 2.0 T which is much better.

I wonder how much they would be asking for this 2.5T model?

My guess is it won't be a sen under RM200,000

They wouldn't want to add in turbo unless it's for US market. (US market all beefed up)
Afraid later add turbo got more problems so Asian market usually don't have turbo.

Unless you like to overtake or frequently go up hill only need that 2.5 power.
Actually if can install pedal shifters will be nice d

Yes because 2.5 T equals to power near to 3.0 or somewhere near 2.8. Plus we don't need to pay that much for roadtax if we use it for town drive, not everyone likes to pay so much roadtax.

From what some Mazda SAs mentioned, the "refreshed" model will include 2.5T Awd.
This model will only be available in Awd version while the current 2.2D Awd will be discontinued.
So basically, the 2.5T will be the most expensive CX-5 and the only one with Awd.

Mazda don't have 2.0T, and the next available engine is the 2.0 Skyactive-X, which most probably won't be available in Malaysia due to our poor quality petrol (Euro 2) and the premium is about 30% over their current 2.0 NA engine.

Thanks for the info, was wondering for the price point should I wait for X50 but it takes such long time. I had test driven the current 2.0 Cx-5 and its good enough for me although some say kosong spec and not CBU blablabla doesn't worth the price but I think it's okay while X70 I still find the design somewhat 'funny', it is a nice car for the value no doubt just the design doesn't come in that well.

cx5 2.0 a lot of complaints, because it's CKD and i think the parts quality is not good.
lots of them have suspension replaced under 2years

As per my post, words from SAs are only the 2.2D Awd will be discontinued.
The new 2.5T will be the only Awd model for CX-5.
The 2.2D Fwd will remain
