If you're from klang valley should check out damen litt tak shop. Bought almost all my kits there and the price is actually almost the same as pre order. Just the other day, I went to pick up the wing zero ver ka for 205, the promoter recommended the mg zeong to me for 205, the one with effect is 330 if I'm not mistaken. Gotten my pg unleashed for 950 too without pre order, but I did ask to reserve one unit whenever it's available Ps: the price stated on the kit isn't final price, can still bargain haha. Hence why I like to get my kits there besides its like 5 mins away from my house
Yup the damen store is awesome... so many stock to choose from and the people that works there knows their gunpla also. see the walkthrough below
Clear colour and special finish kits are worth collecting but unfortunately, not many people collect because they don't see the kits in person, they don't understand why it's so expensive lol
yup agreed.. especially those special coating, dammm beauuuuuuutifoool.. but for the case of Sazabi.. the MG ver ka special coating might not be the best choice due to the nub marks.. base on some review I read.. and bloody expensive that's why I go wit the RG ver, as most of armor is under gate.. so might be more easier at least compare to MG ver ka
Yeah, most collectors don't know how hard it is to achieve the same level of finishing on normal kits if they have to paint themselves. If you guys don't believe me, try doing your own titanium finish/metallic coating.
If you did custom paint job before than u will know how hard to do that and risk to do mistake which might cause you the whole paint job to be disaster .. besides, special coating parts need to undergo a secondary process of coating to achieve those effect and color after molded out which add extra cost to it..
the box also thicker although the same no of runners:
it is due to the packaging of individual runner for the special coating.. to avoid scratches I guess
Yup, that's why i will always pay a bit more for titanium and special finish kits...still cheaper and less time consuming than doing it yourself lol

Got my first clear kit 2 years ago which was an RG Sinanju. Got it at one of the Gundam Expo/GBWC which I built during the March-May MCO last year.
I must say that it is a beautiful kit despite everyone saying that it is a hand grenade. I have not have parts fallen off yet. Still have a normal RG Sinanju which I have not built.
Yeah, mine was ok too
On another note....this new premium unicorn model is very nice but also pricey
What are good Titanium kit? Not many are available on Shopee and prices are quite steep.
i love all titanium kits but the ones that really stands out are red colour kits ( sinanju ) and Blue colour kits ( Banshee) Yes, they are pricey for a reason bcos the paint job is hard to do on your own
Not sure if it is asked before, may I know what is a Titanium Finish and special coating kit? Any different between two?
Titanium finish has a very nice glossy piano like finish, every titanium finish kits have the same high level quality and colours.
Special coating have many different variations- some comes in chrome bright finish, some in high gloss + matte finish... so you really need to check before you buy.
So basically both is pre-painted kit with different method of painting finish and quality. No wonder the price is so different with the normal build kit...
go and look for the titanium and special finish kits. you will be amazed
Ah! That's the one! So this daban is bootleg... I see. That explains quite a bit. But ooof. RM360 is a very painful purchase.
I know where you are coming from..... lot of newbies to this hobby buy the cheaper bootleg only later to realise and regret that rm 360 is well worth it after assembling the pirate version lol...
1) sticker wont stick 2) uneven parts 3 ) peg holes sometimes very hard to go in 4 ) no warranty... any problem with your kits...good luck. At least with the original ones you can pass back to the dealer and they will pass it back to the distributor 5) plastic finishing diff quality
Wow thanks a bunch for the info. A lot to read up. So far, I've ordered a Tallgeese. But i don't really see any water decals for the Barbatos or this Tallgeese HG. I think i wanna try doing a matte coat then some weathering first, before I consider going into paint jobs then. Any tips for weathering?
Where are you located btw ? i would highly advise you to visit a local hobby store to get hands on tips
i stay at Ampang. which hobby store would you recommend?
also does Godhand nipper really cuts without leaving any stress mark? my current nipper leaves lots of stress mark. really stressing me.
first time gunpla builder here. pls be gentle.
also, may if Godhand nipper is really recommended which specific model shud i get as i see it has so many model/type. and what's the RRP for it?
1) Ampang - go to Angel Trend Trading OR PLA + Studio . These 2 will be nearest to you.
2 ) Nipper - i would advise you to try AT nipper or YT Kojo nipper ( all above RM100) . Local brand but damn sharp single blade. Please dont use single blade nippers with clear plastic parts as they will break.
3) and follow awesome toys tv for gunpla news (shameless self plug)
Ye, I live in Kedah area, but becuz I stay wit people more susceptible to covud, I paranoid go out. But tq anyway for the advise. My Tallgeese is otw, with a can of matte coat!
I've seen people spray piece by piece, limb by limb and one whole model in one go. If i speay piece by piece, is there risk of the pieces not fitting?
Kedah i think your best hobby store is this one ? https://www.facebook.com/ebuy.str sorry i seriously dont know if any hobby store up north have facilities like in KL, where they have spray booth area with professional builders ready to help.
Modelland is in penang , not sure if they have spray booth area now .... havent been there in a while as they only open in the evenings.
seen like this item is running shortage. i PO at 570, now already up to 700 -750. Fuuu. the B2 figure is pre painted (color separation), just need to assembly it (u may need to lipstick the mount). [attachmentid=10823521]
Sometimes i wonder if the price went up or our ringgit getting weaker ?
also, for all you collectors, i highly recommend getting this Vetop steel storage rack. Damn solid, direct from factory in malaysia. I still can't believe i managed to store over 70+ boxes using just 2 racks
